Imagine if it was indisputably shown that a larger and larger number of people met the previously established criteria for mental health problems requiring care & time off work. Surely the only possible response would be to change the diagnostic criteria so most of them didn't count as sick anymore?

I *love* it when people tell me they're playing devil's advocate - it means I can then immediately position myself as God's Advocate for the rest of the conversation. Incredible power move.

PSA: turns out the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is No Joke and can still Kick Your Ass. Stay safe out there team.
The backs of two people in orange hi-viz jackets waiting to make The Krossing from Liverpool to Birkenhead. One jacket says 'VIP' on the back. The other person, more in the foreground is also wearing an orange hard hat, with black and white KLF stickers on it.
A side profile view of a person wearing a full-head crow mask, standing at the prow of a ferry making The Krossing from Liverpool to Birkenhead at night. The beak of the mask intersects with the skyline of Liverpool behind them, made of twinkling lights. The person in the crow mask is wearing a mid-green cape with hi-viz details. Another person in the background is wearing a large yellow hi-viz cape, which flaps behind them. Under the skyline of Liverpool, the dark waters of the Mersey river are visible.
A large group of people waiting at Liverpool's Pier Head at night. The people are in the bottom half of the picture. Some people on the left of the picture are wearing yellow hi-viz capes and accessories. Some people on the right of the picture are wearing orange hi-viz jackets. In the background in the top half of the picture are the majestic early 20th century buildings of the Pier Head, lights still burning in some of the windows.
People standing outside at the Future Yard venue in Birkenhead, mostly in profile, looking off to the left. Behind them is the open end of a pink shipping container and an ice cream van painted in very thick black and yellow hazard stripes. An enormous orange and white traffic cone lies on its side on the ice cream van's roof, its wide open bottom end pointing forwards from the van, like a giant party fog horn. The pink and yellow colours in the background of the picture are augmented by the smoke from a flare. On the floor, running from the ice-cream van in the background and cutting between a person in the centre of the frame and one at the right-hand edge, is a single, thick, yellow zig-zag stripe, like a deep jagged blast of sub-bass noise.

Have tried to put together some cool people/companies working in interactive/immersive/gaming theatre (or whatever we decide to call it where the audience get involved and throw things and that).
Please give us your suggestions, and comment if you want adding to the list!

This is the most incredible Bronze Age axehead I know - and I have seen a lot of Bronze Age axes: a jumping cat.

a good way to stop the discourse around people reminding you to use alt text is to just start using alt text.

That's fair. It does get quite gooey. I can be pretty squeamish, but this is (deliberately!) so shiny and over the top that I could hang on to its coat-tails and go with it.
I think watching 'The Substance' on Day 4 of feeling too ill and middle-aged to leave the house was definitely a Correct Choice.
Being alive in the face of everything today is so punk rock, man. The people that make art in the face of despair are incredible and so are the people trying to do good and make a difference even when things are so hard. Thanks for helping us all not give up I love you

SURGEON: [lowers mask] I'm sorry, we were unable to separate the art from the artist
ME: are they
S: yes, they’re still an asshole
I think, every year, the richest person in the world should be sacrificed and their wealth distributed to the poorest among us. The rest of the year would be billionaires scrambling to distribute their wealth in an attempt to ensure they aren't the one to pushed out into the ocean next year. Is that radical enough for you?
Which idiot decided to call it 'staff handbook & training manual' and not 'The Book of Job'?

"Yippee! That means for every good thing I do, I can do [at least!] three other evil things, and Im still **objectively** a Nice Guy!"
We have to stop assigning numerical values to our metaphors. STEM idiots hear "A picture paints a thousand words", and we all get buried in AI slop because they naturally assume the inverse is therefore true, and that a thousand words can paint a picture.
