We were walking towards each other, and as I was about to pass by, she stopped me and said these simple words, "You are a beautiful person." Her words jolted me out of my despondency. I looked up to thank her, and the tears just started flowing. I was so touched that at this moment when I was feeling abysmal, out of the blue, a total strange walked up to me and was so kind. We went our separate ways; I continued to cry in appreciation. A little kindness goes a long way.
