of all the damage AI is doing, i think one of the sickest cultural crimes it is committing is exploiting and reinforcing people's lack of self-belief in their own creativity, one of the most fundamental and *accessible* ways of affirming and sharing your own humanity. deeply anti-human

it's a product of all these anti-art ideas most of us are raised with:
- to make art you need Talent (wrong: talent comes from passion + practice)
- to make art you need to be an Artist (wrong: you just have to be a person)
- art must be impressive/marketable (wrong: make it for yourself first)

i don't like when the response to people using AI to make art/music is "not everyone is meant to make art"

EVERYONE can make art without AI, and should if they want to. the problem (which AI is capitalising on) is that many falsely believe there are formal/genetic prerequisites to doing so
