My mom & I just changed plans from flying to Chicago this spring to a road trip for similar reasons. She and I are already kind of anxious fliers so in light of the recent events we are definitely on the airline outs.
Yesterday I cried at my desk b/c an author I love read an excerpt from her next book that hit me so hard. Today I cried at my desk b/c a long time friend’s dog is going to cross the rainbow bridge today. I’ve actually cried every day this week (it’s hormones I think) but these 2 happened at work.

In other news: my Wednesday, Thursday, Friday walks are my favorite & I wish I could figure out how to make more time the rest of the week to fit them in. Mondays & tuesdays are just too busy for me. 🥺
Also, I need axel to move faster on walks lol - he wants to stop & sniff too much for my liking 🙄😂
It’s so funny to me to see how different people handle different temperature changes. I passed several people in winter coats with hats & gloves on when it’s 56° out right now. I was in a long sleeve shirt & leggings & started sweating about half way through our mile walk.
Yeah. It’s crazy how quickly cats can reproduce.
That’s insane. 😭😭😭 those puppies did not ask to be born.
I rent, but my friend owns my unit & I treat it as though it’s mine & do most of the general maintenance. Basically anything that costs less than $100 to fix.
Additional building dirt:
Our lawn care company came in with our 2026 contract at DOUBLE our 2025 one. We have maybe 1300sq ft that needs mown & then they edge the sidewalks, trim hedges once a year, & leaf blow. I think we are going to take in on as an HOA & just share the responsibility.
But it definitely looks like it flooded in the rain over the last week 🫤
Got done w/ my walk, as I was coming in a neighbor was like “the basement door is open, I’m afraid someone is down there” - I have zero chill or fucks so I went down, banging on the door, & made sure no one was in there. It was empty, we think someone just didn’t get it latched & the wind got it.

I take a sip of water, spider crawls onto my face from bottle, I very quietly panic to get it off of me & then stomp it into oblivion. There were a bunch of people in the office & none of them noticed a thing as it happened until I stood up to walk off the fear. 😂😱

So what’s been explained to me by artists I’ve been to is that when you’ve been drinking your blood doesn’t clot as well/is thinner & can lead to excessive bleeding & cause issues with the tattoo “taking”.
