Nah Hydaelyn in FFXIV, that's what the playerbase refers to her as.

Valid answer, slay my short queen.
The Leveilleur twins (a.k.a. My WoL's adopted children and better dad) aren't top of the list, but they deserve honourable mentions.
Yes most of this list is FFXIV. And Vincent.
Close runners up include:
Vincent the Edgehog
Crystal Mommy
Emet Hey I'm Grump
G'raha Bailey
QTP with your favourite Final Fantasy character.
ESTINIEEEEEEN (he's the Azure Dragoon)
I will also die on the hill The Last Jedi was good ackshewally because it came the closest mainstream Star Wars did to a KotOR-esque deconstruction of the source material's tired old tropes that could push the series in a fresh direction.
Then listening to the internet ruined it.
Like don't get me wrong, I'll die on the hill that Star Wars is at its best when doing genre fiction and not being masturbatory about its own lore, but even the moments that aren't truly superlative like Andor or early Mando are very Marvel-esque in how they go '*insert genre here* but in IP'
HOW IS THIS PARODY?!
Fred from Scooby-Doo unmasking the bad guy at the end of a mystery, in two frames. First frame: Left side: a tied up man in a white featureless mask with eye holes. The caption over him in impact font reads, "SOMETHING I USED TO LOVE SUCKS NOW" Right side of frame, Fred has his hand on the mask, about to pull it off. The caption on him reads, "LET'S SEE WHO'S BEHIND THIS." Second frame: The unmasked bad guy has a pencil thin curling mustache, a pointy nose, and dark hair, with a widow's peak. The caption on him reads, "PRIVATE EQUITY"

To me it's more about seeing how wealth and influence can lead people to grow lax and decadent while hypocritically judging others for not working 'as hard.'
When looking at it through the above lens, the desire for comfort while seeking social capital to fend off retaliation makes so much sense.
A physio I once had said the human body is predisposed to laziness and comfort because it's trying to protect itself from wear and preserve energy.
I think about that a lot. Because I think it *explains* a lot.
Advil PM box art I edited to read Email PM The moon and cloud over the classic advil vanishing point blue gridlines the capsule replaced with a blue envelope and notification bell signifying "1" The box reads: Oh my god it's 10:00pm. Does this person have no life or what's the deal? Below the envelope it reads: Honestly Sad* *Super Sad Actually
...who may not even be in the same group as them.
My cynical ass suspects it's a feeling of success without needing to put any effort or accountability into the process, be it how they engage with the game or simply grokking its design at an analytical level. But I'd like to be proven wrong.
I agree in theory, but it's like I've said before, I think we need seek understanding why players have these mentalities where they simultaneously expect bespoke catering at an insular level, but seem to look extrinsically for their locus of validation, be it designers or other players...
The point being, there's a line where designers can't address irrational wants and we have to start challenging end user mentality instead of humouring them, while making clear the product being a shared experience has to be respected instead of myopically thinking yours is the only one that matters
...are the ones crashing out when there's an errata they don't like, because secretly they only want house rules to prove a point and bludgeon everyone else why they should be made official.
And honestly, they're not wrong to. You just can't shirk the fact that mindset intrinsically impacts others.
You also can't blame others for demanding a live service game where every payer shares the same experience cater to their wants instead of others.
It's what I say about the PF2e arguments all the time. The same players who go on about how the community hates house rules and deviation...
Agree, but that's where my blackpilling towards the average gamer has made me jaded. Too many don't want to hear that games can't inherently cater to everything and expect designers to divide by 0.
You can't say you want a challenge but crash out at the thought of Mesmer Skin being nerfed.
I agree, but I think it also speaks for an inherent contradiction where players simultaneously desire unstoppable power fantasy AND meaningful challenge.
But it's like I always say, do they actually want challenge, or do they like the *idea* of challenge and just want prestige for overcoming it?
Even if you don't play Warframe, the thread linked has some very salient general game design insight.
TL;DR, true unstoppable power fantasy is impossible to reconcile with meaningful challenge.
Mmm deliciously Zerg-y
