The full force of OUR government has been turned against all of us. We are no longer being supported by this government.

This is happening while the EPSTEIN files have not been released & Trump is suing every American for $10,000,000,000.

EVERY ELECTED ENABLER IN CONGRESS IS RESPONSIBLE!

Pediatrics corner:
Avoid using terms like beautiful and cute when describing kids old enough to understand because it teaches them that beauty is the most important attribute.

Sweet, kind, cool, awesome, and great are preferred alternatives.

Now is an even more important time than ever for pediatricians to band together in their support and care for children because the government is mistreating them in so many ways.

Great crowd. Great questions. It was a pleasure to teach clinicians how to teach parenting to parents.

Interesting. I think there is referral bias among parents and maybe physicians. And I think autism is heterogeneous.

10 months ago 0 0 0 0

The other confounding factor is that autism may not be a homogeneous condition since it s a ma multiple genetic variation exist and external insults like severe prematurity can cause it. So it may be a phenotype that shows up early is more similar.

Thank you that makes sense

Correct me if I am wrong but this study looks at 17-18 month olds who already have a diagnosis of autism. However many, especially girls are not diagnosed at that age and show up as phenotypically different later.

Some days you just have to sit patiently with a child who threw toys all over the room until they are ready to clean up. Waiting patiently, while blocking from other activities, is an effective intervention that parents often overlook when they let their emotions get in the way.

If education is critical, what RFK Jr did with his speech is destructive, ignoring science and misleading families. He will return home to his ivory tower and tomorrow and every day after that I will roll up my sleeves and go back to work for the wonderful kids with autism and their families.

I explain their neurodevelopmental strengths and weaknesses. Together we prioritize treatments based on the symptoms that cause them to struggle. Whenever possible we include the child in our discussion so that they can have a say in their treatment.

I am a behavioral and developmental pediatrician. Everyday I go to work for families who have children with #autism. The most important intervention is educations. I help families understand their child’s behavior and how they learn.
