i guess i'm happy to just have a new tomodachi life at all because i literally thought it would never happen, but i really am kinda starting to feel that tinge of disappointment. it kinda reminds me of acnl where they embraced player freedom, which is great, but at the expense of its own personality

i am enjoying the game just on the merits of having fun watching my little dolls walk around but it really does feel like there's too little dialogue and things to do that isn't decorating. where's quirky questions and tomodachi quest?? i really hope they plan to add this stuff in updates

i also am sad noticing how many events were cut from the 3ds game... i was waiting to unlock rap battles but they just aren't here

babies in the new tomodachi life really just grow up immediately huh... i was hoping that the family stuff would be more fleshed out but it actually seems like there's less going on there. there aren't even many cute couple animations :(

I think the PS4 era cemented the idea that melodrama equals story into the minds of gamers harder than any other specific time period, often to the detriment of storytelling, and it’s gonna take years to unlearn that.

I think the reason I’m responding well to Pragmata is because it doesn’t pull maudlin shit. Sometimes a story is characters hanging out.

i read a piece by someone who negatively compared it to "sad dad games" because the game is lighthearted and has little to no pathos or drama and i was just like, good i'm sick of that shit lol

interesting to see and kinda puts to bed the legends that they were cramming 1000 people in there on the regular lol. hardcore tv was a pretty lame show for the most part so i'm not too surprised that the tapings that were specifically for tv didn't draw well

god my launch switch's battery lasts maybe like an hour of screen time now in handheld...

yeah the concert hall being gone is a real bummer, especially because you can hear the melodies from the songs playing on the radio or the miis humming them! i'm really hoping they add that in an update sometime

i think you still can, like the game has a ton of clothes and food and pets and stuiff as is. i haven't really drawn much in it other than a shirt and a couple simple face paints. but it definitely pushes you towards that stuff
