Britain was certainly bankrupt by 1942 and America "helped " us but demanded repayment.
They've done the same with Ukraine.

Unfortunately Britain only finished paying the US back for their support on 2006.

When are you in the Midlands?

Great show tonight again.
As an older man with a grey beard I'm worried about the comments about Charles 1st and his grey beard though

I'd not seen his sketches and studies before. They're very modern.

14 species today in 45 minutes but observation curtailed by the first arrival for some weeks of a sparrowhawk.

Not countries - citizens

And to mediocre celebrities and sportspeople while pretending it's for charity.
Thousands of the countries do more for charity and communities with no thanks or recognition.

Deliberate misinformation from the media which is getting more right wing every year.

After your episode of the adoration of the Magi I don't know whether you caught the Private Eye cover the other day

I doubt if it's a kestrel as they rarely visit gardens and are happier in open ground. I would imagine it's a sparrowhawk which will regularly visit bird feeders for their lunch and take the small birds with ease.

Disgraceful.
It's a wonderful city.

Is Whitemoor Haye opposite Alrewas War Memorial?
I want to visit Whitemoor next time I'm over that way.

Should be ok.
I pruned an apricot in October a couple of years ago without thinking even though I knew that I shouldn't.
It went down with a problem the next year and I'm still trying to save it.
Fingers crossed.

Be careful pruning or trimming cherries after early August.
It can lead to disease.
Fruits with stones ought to be pruned no later than July to be safe.
