An illustration that is still just line art, without color. It depicts an urban scene featuring my sharkfolk, with different species going about their daily lives among the tall buildings of downtown of Tidebay city.
I've made a little more progress with the color blocking. It still feels a bit messy to me, sometimes I have trouble balancing the shadow colors.
That's it for now. If you'd like to see the full progress and the complete illustration, you can check it out on my Patreon, if you'd like!

Really hate how they even ran those comic covers through the slop machine, too. Pretty terrible when the books (I assume) they're promoting(?) can't even pass the 5ft test. -.-
This is another one of those "I really need to do something w/ this" characters. I have ideas but nothing really solid.
All I know is I want to use them somewhere. There's a story here. I just need to dig a bit. o.O
i've seen "it would really stick it to the devs if we left bsky" posts & no it wouldn't. they want this web site to be boring crypto idiots who cool their phones off in pools chatting with AI reply bots. instead they have to put up with us and that's deeply funny

Phoeo of a cute cat behind a super market toy set looking at the camera, with the silly caption of "Khajiit has wares if you have coin" which is a known The Elder Scrolls line.

Selected 2025 image from the sci-fi graphic novel DRIVE at drivecomic.com, showing the human flagship "La Invencible" fighting the flagship of The Continuum of Makers, "The Spark of Thought". The battle takes place in orbit over Tierra and honestly looks pretty cool if you like ships going pew-pew-pew

Selected 2025 image from the sci-fi graphic novel DRIVE at drivecomic.com, showing a fleet of freshly built Scythe-class interstellars in orbit over the Grasskan planet of Saseet. Oh also there's a teeny human ship off to the right, there, but it's super tiny next to these cool, big-ol'-chonkers

I love grocery stores and their colours
Almost halfway there!
We really really need to get this fixed ASAP. Our water runs into the yard and I'm paying for a porta potty each month we don't have a working septic system. It sucks. Lol.

I completely forgot about resident crybaby, Peppermint Bark! He's a sensitive soul and worries a lot, but he has good days, too!

So... Questionable shirts aside, it was a solid day.
Got out for a bit, got a new kit for the Gunpla Backlog Shelf (of Shame), got cake.
I could absolutely ask for more but I'm just happy I somehow managed to make it another year.
I will continue to make this fact everyone's problem. = )
Photo of one of the seats in my Living Room. On it sits the stuff I got for my birthday. There's a couple of full series - Cowboy Bebop and classic Trigun - leaning against the large box of the M G S D Gundam Barbatos model kit. Behind them are two unfortunate t-shirts. The text on both is... bad.
Today's Birthday Haul:
- Cowboy Bebop (Blu-ray)
- Trigun (DVD)
- MGSD Barbatos
- A couple of... Unfortunate t-shirts (Not my idea)
- CAKE! >.< (The food, not the band)
A shimmering circle of light surrounds the upraised arms of a woman who weaves light from the battlements of a castle. She wears an elegant dress of black and purple, and even in small detail it's obvious she's dripping in gold jewelry. Below an orange dragon with a yellow scaled belly blasts a stream of flame into the air. The gout isn't aimed at the armed men below who run in terror as their shield their eyes and bodies. A wall of white flames climbs the castle wall behind the dragon bathing the foreground in intense light. None of the flame consumes the surrounding bare trees or tents—evidence of a siege in progress but now broken.
Detail from STRONGHOLD featuring a Sunrunner weaving light from the top of castle battlements. Below an orange dragon cracks its maw to send a line of fire into the sky.

The magic in Melanie Rawn's Sunrunner trilogies involves weaving light, but just what is that faradhi on the battlements casting? There are clues to what's going on in the illustration. 1/2

- Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors
- The Wuzzles
- Gummi Bears
The 1st is just getting that story past the finish line.
2nd is to play w/ that idea a bit. Seems fun.
3rd is 100% to take it elsewhere. I want Gummis in the Modern Day thanks to Zummi messing up a spell & having to get back. = )
