Who designed this card? My compliments to the chef!

This was fun + I got all the backlog tournaments I wanted to add to the site yesterday, so I'm running back Cursed Words at 7pm eastern tonight. Come hang out!
Anything where the winner makes the PT counts, so I'm adding both the invitational PTQ and the 10K from Seattle.
Curating the Hunter Burton main event is going to be a job. I only have first + last initial for 75% of the participants. My approach is, "if there's exactly one Craig E that played in a previous HBMO, we'll assume it's that guy here too." But it's way more guesswork than normal.
Sick of Elo curating for the day, going live in a few minutes to play some word games. www.twitch.tv/ajlvi
Just realized two weeks late that I missed a @bsweitz123.bsky.social tag here...
www.mtgeloproject.net is updated with Richmond and the rest of this cycle's RCs. With these events, the site now holds over 4,000,000 matches of Magic!
I have a few old events to add, then I'm hoping the April lull will give me a chance to add a few features. ๐ค
Elo project is updated today with the RCs + LCQs from Taipei, Mexico City, and Turin. Seems like the Mexico City and Bangkok LCQs were on Companion and are lost, which is a real bummer. ;_;
SS Richmond + last weekend's RCs + HMBO main event coming soon!
I did not keep the 1-of Avacyn in the list with any awareness that it played so well with Voice. That was a nice unexpected surprise, haha.
We untapped and drew Brazen Borrower. Is this game a win or a loss?
Top 8 starting in a few minutes!
Day one was fun, but now it's time to get down to business. RC Kyoto continues on www.twitch.tv/ajlvi together with Joseph Puglisi!
Going live in about five minutes. Come see what the best minds in Japan have brewed up for us!
Tomorrow night is the Japan/Korea RC! I'll be live on www.twitch.tv/ajlvi covering all the action. Come hang out and watch standard with us!
โ Friday stream starts at 9pm Eastern with @domhrv.bsky.social co-hosting
โ Saturday stream starts at 8pm Eastern with Joseph Puglisi co-hosting
Japan/Korea RC announcement. Day 1 stream starts at 10am Saturday Japan time = 1am Saturday UTC = 9pm Friday Eastern. Day 2 stream starts at 9am Sunday Japan time = 12am Sunday UTC = 8pm Friday Eastern.
This weekend is the Japan/Korea RC, held in Kyoto. My usual co-hosts are busy, so I'm putting out an open call: does anyone out there keep weird hours and want to color-commentate a standard event? Stream starts 9pm EDT Friday night, 8pm EDT Saturday night.
Delayed GGs to you as well for getting an invite Friday! Looking forward to saying hi at the RC ^_^
Wheels fell off yesterday in the main event but we rallied in the RCQ today for 5-1, $100, and a DC invite. Happy to have another weekend on the calendar ^_^
Surprise! We got final standings on Friday, so I had last weekend to work on it, and there were only 180 new names in Milwaukee (compared to 875 in Toronto), so I got it all done today. www.mtgeloproject.net is updated. ^_^ Now to unhook my phone until after Richmond...
www.mtgeloproject.net is updated today with Santiago, its LCQ, and Arena Championship 11. I'm not expecting to see Milwaukee+Vancouver standings until early next week, and expect to use my Magic time next week on Richmond prep. So it may be a little bit before they appear.
Curating queue:
โข Arena Championship 11 is done and ready to go
โข We should see Santiago standings soon; I'll update the site with AC11 + Santiago + LCQ when it appears
โข Milwaukee and Vancouver probably won't appear for another week or so. Will try to get them done before Richmond but no promises.
7-0 draft deck: Figure of Fable Kinsbaile Aspirant Kinscaer Sentry 2 TImid Shieldbearer Lys Alana Informant 2 Eclipsed Kithkin Flock Impostor Reluctant Dounguard 2 Wary Farmer Gallant Fowlknight 2 Thoughtweft Imbuer Bristlebane Outrider Curious Colossus Personify 2 Assert Perfection Crib Swap Protective Response Morningtide's Light 10 Plains 7 Forest
Sad not to get to play a little more with this one, because the whole thing was over so fast. Definitely the least troubled I've ever felt overall, taking all seven games into account. If I've had a stronger draft deck, it's been years and years.
Love seeing the sealed win% go up. ^_^ Good luck in the draft!
After a marathon week of curating, SS Toronto and its LCQ are now on www.mtgeloproject.net. I am sure there is a lot to correct, so don't be shy!
Ugh and it looks like a nontrivial number of people 0-1 dropped, who knows if that's because of a mistake in the registration process or what. I'm afraid I'm going to see a bunch of people double-playing the first round. ๐
This one has been extra challenging. I think it has to do with the way F2F handled registrations on their own site and then added everyone to Melee themselves... lots of pre-existing people seem to have gotten new accounts just for this tournament. ๐ซ
Toronto final standings, you say? This is going to be a job, but at least now I can get started.
We've been getting final standings with human names of every participant on magic dot gg, so I line them up against the Melee pairings and then switch the names over. Unfortunately it's been taking 8-10 days before we get those standings lately.
31 players have accomplished this feat. Any list with Kai and Shuhei at the top is pretty good company. GGs @atsevariel.bsky.social !
"New" names in Toronto raw data: 1110
New names that I've seen before and know how to translate: 248.
Uh, we're gonna need final standings to get anywhere with this.
Refresh is done. I thought for sure we'd get Portland standings in the middle of the redeploy, because that's just my luck... but no, we're still waiting. I'll wait one more day before compiling PT stats.
