Painting of a lilac-skinned orc woman standing in a field of poppies at sunset. She is brandishing two scimitars and carries many more weapons besides: bow, quiver, halberd, dagger. Her stance is ready and eager and she has a challenging smile as if ready for anything. The wind blows in her wavy green hair and sends petals through the scene

It's #daggerheart day! I can finally show my painting! 🥳

I nicknamed her Poppy for obvious reasons and I love her very much 🥺❤️ It was an honour to work on this!

An illustration of our dearth earth and moon from the viewpoint of a spaceship flying behind the moon. The small pink fairy Pokémon clefairy is visible in the foreground, tapping the window of our spaceship. From Earth you can see another spaceship flying towards the moon. The art style is colorful and stylized, whimsical and fun.

I think they saw Clefairy up there... I just can't prove it

an illustration of qifrey from witch hat atelier. he's resting upon a mass of tree roots and branches, coming in swathes of purples, greys and blues. his robes are long and flowy, cascading down and around him like water; both his clothes and the tree are blending into one another. qifrey is looking slightly behind him, towards a giant, golden star haloing him. MILD SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 93: his hands come to his chest; one gripping his ribbon tassel while the other brushes against the swirl of tree branches. At the center of these branches is a lantern which partially covers the silhouettes of a young qifrey and olruggio.

"Ajani's Response" for #MtGSoS Secrets of Strixhaven! I was BLESSED by AD Ovidio Cartagena who gave me this awesome card to do. I had, on an airy dream, asked for Ajani to paint, and to my surprise I got him! This was also the first time I used a traditional sketch as the base.

Been rereading some of Foucault's stuff on silencing and censorship, because it's becoming more widespread as a means of control these days (And because it's relevant to my portfolio project), and it occurred to me that breaking censorship of any kind is treated socially as a criminal offence

I've told this story before, but when I was in the art college I was considered borderline hopeless when it came to colors - by teachers, classmates and myself. Like, my drawing skills were relatively good, but painting - oh, I was terrible at this.
The teacher tried to tell me "just feel the color" and make me see, but I just couldn't no matter how hard I tried.

Anyway all it took to fix my problem was a 10 min long video on color theory.
Yes. That's it.
I think it could be a different video or maybe a book, the point is, that I really needed to comprehend it and not just acquire the skill while practicing.

Now the "just feel it"-approach works fine for me. Like, I don't paint with the thought "hey, need some complementary colors here", I just go with what works.
But in order to be able to do it I needed to understand it first.

If you are dead stuck with something and can't get better despite trying it's likely not you being "talentless", but the method of studying not working for you.

L’art de dins del llibre és una xulada per cert.
