returning from the rally, car feels heavier, didn’t buy this…
Cambridgeshire Repeater Group rally tomorrow. I'm going to try to be there, but I won't be selling anything.
I heard the cartoon "impaling on spiky thing" sound!
Sleep with your head on a pillow-sized Tangle Teezer
Our supermarket delivery wasn't, due to the driver being ill, it became negotiations to click and collect + free money, which was accepted. All quite civilised, yet the person collecting before us seemed unreasonably angry about it.
Typing superscript with the wrong shortcut keys has resulted in my text size increasing eightfold, so that's nice. Already fixed that. Can never find it when I want the text bigger of course.
V²/R = power
That's about 2.5W of heat so these should work well, PM sent!
How many 470Ω do you need? I've got a few Welwyn W22 in 470Ω, they're wirewound 7W axial leaded.
Pictures with furniture or clutter removed by AI are genuinely useful and it wouldn't be something an agent could hire an artist to do within a seller's budget, unless it was a castle. This is already being abused, though, to remove structural defects or neighbouring unsightliness. WHAT PYLON?
That’s interesting, Kathy has an idea that black cats are pitched higher and I think that may be correct
Do they have squeaky miaows? Bella was wondering obv.
And Mogret, an earlier rescue cat, she rescued Random - a local stray - she told him we'd feed him and fix his bad eye etc. Mogret was very intelligent. www.flickr.com/photos/mogre...
Head size isn't much to go on! Our neighbour has a black cat that looks a lot like Bella from the front and responds to the name Bella, which won it some free Dreamies on a dark evening, not so long ago. They're easy to tell apart from the side as the fake Bella "slopes downwards at the back".
My wife Kathy took the best picture of Random, but he never really looked like this and we don't know how this happened. www.flickr.com/photos/mogre...
Exhaust pipe boy was called Random, here he is accompanied by an imaginary pipe organ crescendo. www.flickr.com/photos/synx5...

A tabby and white cat sitting on a laptop, you can't see much white
Bella is the black cat and Elsinør is the tabby and white cat. Bella stays at home mostly and will melt completely when given collar scritchings.
I told my wife that I didn't want cats after exhaust pipe boy lost to cancer but we adopted two more from rescue and in a few years they've given us so much joy. It's definitely love though, even after the live rat that they rehomed in our sofa.
When they go into hiding they don't respond to Dreamies or anything, it's really strange. Also the same if they're outdoor cats. They just ghost their humans. Ours have Airtags but it's no help when they decide to hang out on a garage roof for 18 hours. Cats are such dicks sometimes but I love them!
The longest vanishings with my cats were around two weeks, once in the 1990s when cat became king of the wildlife area on the other side of an A-road and once about a decade ago when cat just vanished then returned a few weeks later with a burn on the tip of his nose. We think from exhaust pipe.
I know this feeling. Our cat used to climb into the drawer below an open drawer by somehow turning to liquid and flowing over the back of the drawer. The open drawer didn't even have to be open long, just long enough. Cats love to hide. A neighbour's cat once hid in an upright piano for three days.

The next outage will be invite only.
And now the ro–bots are doing the job of the estate agents with even less charm.
Years ago I wrote "the estate agent simulator", which was powered by Markov chains that I'd generated by pulling the descriptions from the PropertyBee Firefox plugin. A huge pile of Rightmove text, tokenised and reassembled with the knobs twisted to "maximum surprise", all the least likely combos.
It's alt + dash on my computer, which is temptingly easy.
dashes of em.
The whole property description was free tier level AI, replete with emdashes.
I did a poor edit. It was "One of Highworth's…"
