and every time the story makes it seem like things will go elsie's way or let her develop independent of characters who constantly shit on her, the plot completely shuts it down. WHY. it feels like the plot is allergic to progression.

every issue the characters are like "elsie, i don't trust you because you did that thing. hm wait you make a good point, elsie. thanks for helping me, elsie. FUCK YOU, ELSIE, I DON'T TRUST YOU." over and over again!!!

i'm all for characters who made mistakes in the past receiving consequences but they're beating this trope into the ground

i'm reading feral and it's gotta be one of the most frustrating comics i've ever read
