Easter bunny, standing on an egg, holding a tulip. Carved from a redwood 2”x2” on Easter 2025, finished today.
Cheers!
I had a reince priebus once, had to get it lanced
Hah, perhaps I should have said "... SHOULD BE okay."
Resonance with music depends on how we're "tuned" and that's all. Quality is only objectively measurable in any art if you can reduce it to its lowest, quantifiable aspects. That misses the real point: sharing indefinable, transformative magic.
What matters to me is whether the music resonates, and that's all. Technical skill level is almost irrelevant to me; I've been moved by folks from every point on the spectrum. If you don't like it, it's just not for you; someone else still might and that's okay.
(I kinda wrote a book about this😉)
I opened for HV in 2012
Clearly making Tosche Station plans
“Waldo! At the Guggenheim” was one of the options for “Panic! At the disco,” before they settled on the name via Mad Libs.
So hard to tune
I opened for Ass Toast in 2002

Blokes named "Mike" are the worst
Dang: Nightmares and Dreamscapes
After not using it for years, I had trouble with Audacity’s post-processing, like it made a few assumptions on wav export that I had trouble compensating for. But the recording and editing was as smooth and intuitive as If remembered.
Quality control is so lacking in music nowadays. There are 5-string basses, and 7-string guitars! It’s like no one even double-checks anymore
Oh dang, one of those 8-bit ones escaped from Pitfall
This is worse than many of your most offensive Burrito Crimes and now it’s stuck in my head and I’ll never forgive you
And now everyone’s nephew uses AI
Poetry
Sorry man, this sucks so very deeply, and is yet another AI is enshittifying the world.
As a worstselling author, I have so far been blissfully unencumbered by AI scammers, I guess irrelevance has its perks!
Ok everybody, I think it’s time we let the pigeon drive the bus.
Aw you can almost see his blank thought bubble
I’ve had a few cover vids taken down over the years, mostly by old-school publishers (who might not understand that other artists covering a song helps the “brand” more than it hurts it); Paul Simon, for example. Also, that time I concluded a (funeral) video the last chord from “A Day in the Life…”
I steer clear of covers unless I feel like my version will bring something new to the party. When my vocals or guitar arrangement are uniquely “me,” while leveraging the version in the listener’s head, magic can happen. Weaponized nostalgia can really pack a wallop ;)
Hey quit posting pictures of me
