I had originally planned for my second book to be around 50/60k in words as it's a collection of short stories. However, after only 3 and with around 10/12 to go, im already at 10k. Safe to say I am not good at maths.

Yeah, I would say this is the way to go.
If i am correct (please let me know if not to anyone who else sees this), I would use semicolons. Just because it's used to separate the list without bringing it to an end like a fullstop. If that makes sense?

I would say finding viable marketing (The main reason for this post also) You can pay for advertising, but it doesn't necessarily mean people will click/buy, so making multiple socials and posts like this is cost efficient for starting out. But I also didn't write the book to be well known either 😊.
