Blaidd, oh what's there to not love about Blaidd, the precious good boy who only ever was kind and loyal and optimistic 😭💔 there are many deaths to mourn since everyone dies in this game but his was very painful to endure

Miquella is so beautiful and so toxic. I stand by evil Jesus. there's just something about his consistent failures, desperation, and eternal tragic fate. the theme of his life constantly being "incomplete" cycles - the eternal youth, malenia's stalemate, and the unfulfilled promise - I love it all

Mohg is another favorite. another dramatic character, who chose to go all-in on cursed villainy instead of the thankless righteous path his twin took. he's the biggest theater kid in the family, super fun and silly

and then there's Melina, my waifu. I love a kuudere beauty telling me what to do. she's mysterious and cute, and her resolve is admirable

next is Messmer. his story is similar, but far more tragic: the abandoned son who did as he was asked and then punished for it. his last words were a curse on his mother for using him and choosing the Tarnished over him. all he did was suffer for love.

also he's so beautiful and dramatic lol

first off, Morgott. my precious son. if I ever find a scrungly cat I will name him after you.

I love Morgott bc even as a cursed child who was cast out like trash, he still loved his family + home with all his heart, even when they didn't love him back. he wanted to be a hero and uphold their honor

sorry I just have Elden Ring brainworms after the movie announcement and me finishing the game bc of it. let me ramble about my favorite characters:

if there's anything this silly ol gamer can tell you it's that elden ring is actually not hard. like actually. it being hard is a meme it's the easiest soulslike and they give you so many tools and play style options that make things easier

if you can play skyrim or botw, you can play elden ring

dude I'm really happy I played the DLC after finishing the main story bc it was a much more satisfying end to everything than the main story's finale. I'm STILL thinking about it

waking up the morning after beating Elden Ring

I was informed I missed a legendary dragon in Farum Azula, so I guess I have to go back and fight him at some point lol

I skipped some of the other remembrances too like Astel and the big deer one, but they honestly felt uneventful as fights, similar to Fortissax's

oh yeah I just remembered I actually beat Rellana and Messmer before Malenia. completely forgot I did some DLC stuff to distract from being mad at her 😂

25. Consort Radahn - 10/10

imo, felt like the REAL finale to the game. he's like a Greatest Hits of multiple bosses, I enjoyed his moveset and the visuals. cinematics are jaw-dropping, I could rewatch them over and over. having the homies with you was the cherry on top. everything was perfect ❤️

24. Leda & Friends - 7/10

this one's carried by the emotions you have during since you're fighting former comrades. exciting and depressing, but also chaotic. whole thing's a mess. fighting thru da tears 😭

I'm torn on if I like the arena. it makes it sadder, but the fight itself feels too plain

23. Scadutree Avatar - 5/10

rough fight bc of relentless AOEs and thorn moves. I relied on tanking most of those. hated the charges. THREE PHASES is ridiculous but totally understandable. that last phase was super depressing, anime moment where you're both tired and doing final punches 😭

22. Gaius - 7/10

meeting him for the first time where he charges at you out of nowhere is a peak experience. I've seen some people treat it as a joust but for me I went without Torrent so it felt like a bullfight. he and the boar are quite aggressive, it feels like he can sense your fear haha

21. BAYLE!!! - 4/10

this fight is hard for a melee player since he flies and has an AOE that covers the area at his feet. I just opted to tank that 😭 most frustrating though is that you really can't lock onto him because he's all over the place. it's better to just smack him blind

20. Midra - 6/10

he's TOUGH, but his reveal was amazing to watch and I love the lore for him. the short first phase gets old fast, though. his huge AOEs and lunges are rough. the madness buildup is a pain point, but this fight is all about figuring out how to manage that, which was cool

19. Metyr - 1/10

fucking hated this one and it made me rage quit the game for months. requires solid timing for everything and landing hits doesn't even feel good. she does fast multi-strike attacks and hits HARD, so if she gets 2 consecutive hits in it's already over. I'd rather fight Malenia

18. Putrescent Knight - 5/10

absolutely hated this as a fight but loved its whole concept lmao. I tried to do it alone but I found I needed Thiollier to get through this fight. requires a LOT of dodging, but the hit box + timing is forgiving. also chasing after him to get close was not fun 😭

17. Romina - 4/10

this one was just lukewarm and honestly not that memorable. she's predictable, though I found myself constantly being sloppy and making mistakes. iirc there was something odd about her timing, like she was slower than you'd expect

the roll attack was annoying LOL

16. Messmer - 7/10

felt like a physically-heavier yet short version of Malenia. relentless strikes that don't let you breathe, WIDE attacks, fast lunges. flies ALL OVER the arena and is hard to keep track of. very visually & mentally stimulating, intense fight

he also has an AMAZING voice actor

15. Rellana - 6/10

this one was tough, but fun, felt like a lighter version of Malenia, in concept. it was hilarious watching her bust out bigger and bigger attacks as the fight went on: BIG swords, then BIG SWORD BEAM, and then BIG MOONS. just a constant "WTF, WTF, WTF!!" each time 😂

14. Dancing Lion - 10/10

my ALL-TIME FAVORITE fight in the game. cinematic, high energy, incredibly flashy elemental attacks, you could FEEL the wind and ice and storms. it's a dance for sure, and a great start to SOTE. what a rush
