"Slicing up eyeballs"
Maybe I'll treat this as a play-it-tonight recommendation. One of at least a couple this week so far

It is all of these things and more
That keep us together
This and "Strangelove" are my two favorite DM songs, both in my most important themed mix compilation, and Black Celebration is my favorite DM album by just a touch

I was at least aware of pretty much from the get-go, but then recently have become off-the-charts attracted to--one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. I kinda wonder if I'm late to this party, though

The thing Boyz II Men sang about: the End of the Road. This joins to the south end of the loop trail
Loop trail around the top of The Plateau looking south. The Road is around the corner, a bit off to the right
The end of the Road to Nowhere, and the upper loop trail around the top of The Plateau
Near the end of The Road to Nowhere or rather the top of The Plateau. Going up a very shallow ravine; some trees on either side, grass and sky beyond
We're on a road to nowhere (gotta get a #ClassicAlternative reference in here). Actually a road to the clouds, or more precisely the top of The Plateau
Small bridge to a clearing beyond within the sort-of woods. There's a disc golf pin off to the right; the main lower loop trail around the bottom of The Plateau is to the left
We're on a bridge to somewhere (specifically, a #DiscGolf pin)
A little #photography fun. I hadn't been here in a while: Lochness Park in Blaine, MN. I used to come here a lot when I was in the area more often. There's a Loch, but Nessie wasn't there (forgot to get a picture)
"Beans make you faht."
"We have a convertible."
"No self-respecting Southerner uses instant grits."
This time the AI flag went up immediately🤮 This is too posed and "clean", and I recall right off the "front porch" was hexagonal
Seven of Nine: Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One. (I have 7 of 9 of those albums depicted) I don't recognize the yellow one at all
This album was completely unfamiliar and off the radar to me. A couple years ago I audited "Unfinished Sympathy" on le Tewb and then picked up the album not long after
Been neglecting this. Went there just now and saw exactly what I thought I'd see #Artemis

Maybe tonight I'll listen to the story of the Slender Fungus and those songs I learned during my "second wave" of discovery: "Lions", "War", and "Performance"
Technically, before answering I should first listen to the recently reissued--and recently obtained by me--Pixies EP aka the "Purple Tape"
A childhood (1982 I think) trip up Rock Creek for a good week: highly formative to me it turns out. Included some day visits to nearby areas including these and some of the other Mammoth-Lakes-the-lakes. Been there once since, in 1998 I think
A notice that says I've had this Gmail account for 19 years
Some stupidity on gmail...I've had this username for at most 16 years. Things like this are partly why I'm planning to move away from gmail and most likely to a paid email service
No Kings 3 at the Capitol in St. Paul. The Boss taking the stage on the jumbotron
Will be bringing my visual, physical presence to a little get-together planned in the local hamlet of #StPaul
One of my favorites on this album is "Two Divided by Zero." PSB is one of those "alternative" bands I was interested in way before I was even seriously into "alternative" music at all
Oooooh, yeah. Visited five or six times when I lived in the general area in the 2010s

Yes: a 2000s-vintage CD player; the pick-up went out after less than a year but the radio works well enough
Yes: the #Timberwolves game is on TV...but we're doing this for realz
Actual Nalukataq more commonly referred to around here with the Enchanted Word
An enormous party
[4] #StPaul #StPatricksDay Parade: Trying to E-notate this parade -- and ⬇️it obviously qualifies⬇️ -- would have been a huge challenge, but that's also what makes this parade absolutely awesome: instead of highly discrete floats and troupes, it's one huge run-together celebration
Sort-of Nalukataq being performed with a dummy
[3] #StPaul #StPatricksDay Parade: Faux Nalukataq: a couple troupes doing this. Of course the real deal is what Entrant You-Know-What-Number does. Lately I've learned this was very frequently performed at events, parades, etc. here in this area back in the early 20th century
Just a few of innumerable examples of awesome headwear
Speaking of headwear, and the amazing smorgasbord on display. The perpetually burning question: WHERE IN THE BLAZES DO YOU GET things like this? I refuse to believe they're all homemade, and I don't think I've ever once seen things like this out in marketplaces
Nordy
Nordy! The #mnwild 's highly convenient color scheme makes it that much easier to celebrate St. Paddy's Day lawfully--and was represented absolutely everywhere. I had my Not-Weird...Wild custom headwear I made in December
The Vulcan Krewe--but they're GREEN
[2]🧵 #StPaul #StPatricksDay Parade: Our Favorite Krewe-with-a-K from Our Favorite Moonless Planet--they're GREEN! Representing flora instead of fire for the day? Of course it's a misdemeanor to not wear green on St. Patrick's Day
Last year I was trying to avoid some song associations because of the chance of them bombshelling. The associations stuck anyway but with the big picture of things and no more chance of bombshelling--and these associations are very welcome
The St. Paul St. Patrick's Day Parade
[1]🧵 #StPaul #StPatricksDay Parade: I first attended last year and was off-the-charts distracted but was still an awesome time, and probably got even more enjoyment after the fact out of all the pictures I got. All attention on deck this time around, although with dangerously cold hands
The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Minneapolis
A #StPatricksDay Parade Twofer. First, #Minneapolis. This was a few days ahead of the fact, on #PiDay

In the tradition of album art depictions to nerd out over, some #ClassicAlternative Goodness obtained lately
Snow--and some blowing snow because it was windy and just a bit blizzardy--on trees and the parking lot beyond
Ooooh! Those pretty crystals that collect on the ground. They've been just a bit scarce this season. Could have done without the wind #MNwx
