I left watercolor 20 years ago to pursue casein, gouache, and then landed on encaustic. Encaustic has been my medium for 15+ years.

Wow, that is really a memory! I remember being in third grade and the girl who sat in front of me was black. She and I were friends but we never went home with each other - I think we knew that wasn’t an option. And there was a picture of George Wallace above the chalk board. Even then, I knew.

I’m working on a striped #crochet bag designed by the team at #Madejajaja in #MexicoCity. I’ll finish my stripes and go back to the shop next week to learn how to attach the strap. I plan to line it with fabric. Bags for purchases are a big deal since we’re shopping on foot!
