there's a reason in The Isle in the Silver Sea one of the main villains was a british asian collaborator with state violence. we've got a community problem.

Feminists for ages: we are not just vaginas and baby making parts.
A trans woman enters the room.
Those same feminists: we are only vaginas and baby making parts.
Fucking clowns.
I have no one to talk to about how hot adult Zuko is. What am I meant to do with this.
I just think we're sleeping on space opera romance as a subgenre.
also if trinity santos were a boy there'd be SO much more fic about her, but I thank writers of sapphic fic for their service
this is how I feel!
I may delete this later but I watched the pitt and the most popular ship absolutely baffles me
two brown rabbits outdoors
the bunnies in question!
today I ignored my work and built new outdoor rabbit runs with my spouse, then played with my bunnies in the sunshine. I am covered in mud and I am really happy
it's really really tasty
This is the loveliest advice. ❤️
My contribution to the book sky discourse is that the United States is doing war crimes in Iran. Israel is ethnic cleansing Lebanon and Palestine.
the duke made me understand why some readers adore alphahole heroes. turns out I just needed that, but a woman.
got asked at an event what my writing process is and frankly it's a very funny question, because today my brain only switched on at 9pm, and now I'm listening to EDM on loop and rewriting the end of a book backwards. there's no good way to do this, but if there is, I haven't found it
petition to ban april fool's day until the state of the world is such that any nice news turning out to be fake no longer feels like actual sadism
I do not need to fly to Berlin just to watch a Caleb-focused live Critical Role. I do not need to fly to Berlin just to watch a Caleb-focused live Critical Role. I do not-

I am profoundly ready for Bridgerton lesbians
a book's content may upset you, it may disturb you, it may haunt you or disgust you - it is allowed to do that. this is distinct from content provoking a trauma response, which so many of us reasonably want to take the care to avoid. I fear some people are muddying these two things together.
I also think it's important to sit with whether you believe content should NOT exist, because if so, you're doing the work of fascism.
content warnings are very useful, I've found them personally useful, but this is a bloody complex topic, it contains more nuances than 'not providing content warnings is bad'.
there's a debate on threads about trigger warnings I absolutely should not respond to. so I'll just say here: if you don't think trigger warnings in books have and will be used to ban books, largely by marginalised authors, I have a river to sell you
are you me.
raise your hand if you miss clinch covers
fanfic-to-trad pub is a sure bet. I'm not really interested in shitting on the authors involved, because I think the industry's disinterest in being a taste maker is the bigger issue.
apropos to nothing, publishing is a risk averse industry that will always throw money at a sure bet over a risk. there is a reason, historically and today, bipoc and queer fiction both have a harder time getting industry support
Dyke knights wip! ⚔️
my only bridgerton thought is that I still think eloise and cressida have mad chemistry
