But I am also grateful you reached out.
That’s fair! I don’t mean to minimize things. Reading your post I did shed a tear and it’s surreal. You’re a good person. This was very unfortunate to read tonight.
You’re welcome. I truly mean it that you will be missed. Even from me — a random stranger on the internet.
This is Kurland. this news is really sad and hits hard. You’ve been kind, respectful, and always pleasant to interact with.
I know we were strangers outside of the internet but I am very sorry to hear this and wish for your final days and moments be full of happiness
I would be surprised if he is the leadoff man for a meaningful period this season BUT I do think the defense and versatility can make him an everyday player for them.

#Pirates Isiah Kiner-Falefa led off 40 of his 47 games with the Pirates in 2024
During that span:
- .240/.265/.322
- .257 wOBA
- 60 wRC+
On the year his numbers were lackluster as well with a .683 OPS and 93 wRC+. He should not be leading off for any team. Even the Pirates.

He last batted below 7th in the lineup on 4/21 of last year. Against RHP he batted below 6th in the order just twice since 6/1.
I would anticipate higher vs LHP (top 4) but would project Westburg 6th vs RHP
2/2
#Orioles Jordan Westburg in the playoffs batted 2nd vs a LHP and 2nd again vs a RHP.
After returning from injury he finished the year batting 2nd in 8 of his 9 starts (inc. playoffs)
On the year he batted:
1st - 6x
2nd - 9x
3rd - 1x
4th - 1x
5th - 35x
6th - 29x
7th - 16x
8th - 8x

Also a fan of the projection but the SBs remain a question
Won’t have a ton of shares. This is my first in my 7 early drafts but at pick 80-100 I’m fine with taking a shot in 15 teamer

Willy Adames is tough to gauge for me.
On one hand we’re paying for the breakout/career year and he’s in the first year of a big deal
On the other there’s a floor there that’s higher than most/all the SS that go behind him (imo) from this point on with a ceiling that we just saw

My latest DC through 10 rounds (15 teams/50 rounds/Draft and hold)
I honestly am not sure how I feel. Acuña is a risk but I made sure to give my team a high floor around him
First time taking an early closer with Clase. It’s alright I guess.
In Luke Weaver I trust (for now)
Does praying count?
But in all seriousness — yes. I just settle for mid tier types and hope their respective teams don’t sign someone ahead of them
Then maybe be a bit more aggressive in reserves in RP types that could land a gig via injury or trade, etc
Yea he’s pick 15-20 range.
This is a 15 teamer
6 rounds in.
Hitter stack followed by a pitcher stack
Overall this feels like a pretty balanced start.
Now the fun begins with filling in the blanks.
Thanks! Time to build on it
Through 4 rounds.
Not bad for a 15 teamer
Overrated
I know it’s only 2 picks but this start is pretty fun for setting my offensive base early
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Celebrating with food, family, and drafting this DC now
*The sub par numbers referenced in the first post on this thread were from splits vs RHP*
I meant vs RHP his career numbers are bad and that’s the r concern.
Crushes LHP
Maybe his production vs LHP can continue to carry him for fantasy purposes but I have my concerns and have a hard time buying in on a guy who has not had much success vs RHP in their career.

#Dodgers Tommy Edman will be a player I likely end up out on and can be wrong again here
I just hate his splits. Last year his elite production vs LHP made him great to finish the year
For his career he has a sub .700 OPS (.689) and 91wRC+

Fun Fact
#Padres Yuki Matsui was top 20 among all RP in the 2nd half in SIERA and K-BB% (min 20 IP)
Priorities!
I tend to believe the “player’s lie” concept in season. They’re competitors and want to be there
Offseason I feel like players are less inclined to stretch the truth of their health
2/2
#Marlins Jesus Luzardo talked about being healthy and ready for a regular offseason a week or so ago on MLB Network
He addressed it again later in the segment but stated he’s finally back to 100% and what not.
1/2
He’s getting a full offseason to work on the defense and could easily find his way into playing time as an OF/C2 for this team right away
As someone with no shares I might need to change that.

If you’re waiting on catcher in deeper fantasy baseball formats take a shot on #Dodgers Dalton Rushing
A top prospect for the organization and transitioned to the outfield toward end of last year
1/2
At least these things aren’t out of the realm of possibility but the marlins probably end up with Robertson instead lol
