See this is an adult's critical opinion on it in the 2020's and I can get down with that. It's definitely not perfect. But some people say Circle of The Moon for instance is the best GBA-Vania and having played that recently I can't get over how slow and simple it is. Different strokes and allathat.

I wish it was more than one fucking lap. I always thought the whole point of Rainbow Road, especially the N64 one, was that it was the endurance marathon at the end of GP/versus session. MK8 has some good segmented tracks (Mount Wario for example) but that's my least favorite RR in the game sadly.

What in the world?! I guess with so many intermission stages between different tracks that aren't connected by GPX or Knockout Tours this can happen. What track-to-track path was this?

Just finished listening to it after a very inspired afternoon sesh listening to all kinds of stuff. Makes me really realize how much I love that band, they can make any weird game have a beautiful anthem and their first two albums and EP still speak to me to this day.

I like racing games. I LOVE arcade racing games like Burnout and F-Zero X, which I was raised on. I enjoy the *concept* of Forza Horizon and it's sequels but this fact and the Ubi-fication of the map and its 1001 points of interest and events turned me off from FH4 and it just never clicked.

I don't even mind the fact that the soundtrack isn't streaming, I'd just like to be able to better control it while I'm free roaming! Give us stations to match the vibe of every corner of the map, like GTA radio. 😅
Other than that, the game's amazing. I prefer 3 lap races but you can do that in VS.

At first it's gonna look like shit, lol. You can only do so much with it before the first dozen runs, successfully or otherwise. It's not about making it look good right away, but simply functional. If you pour enough gold into leveling up certain buildings early on you can become very strong!
