CM Punk is a piece of shit. That said, I attended DoN '22 & '23, staying at the same venue TV was being taped. The only time I saw wrestlers escorted by security was Hangman in '23 (w/eye patch) & the women's roster when otherwise would be on their own. The autograph scumbags in '22 were appalling!

You can't kill wrestling. It's like Obi Wan, strike it down and it'll just grow stronger than you can imagine.
Star Trek The Original Series scene. We're in a CORRIDOR! A room door is open, and we see two crewmen spilling out into the hallway in red and blue uniforms. They are otherwise indecipherable tho because they are entirely enveloped in a big cloud of smoke. It's pouring out all around them and into the hallway area, like there's a Phish concert in there. Closed caption reads, "[COUGHING]"
My buzz from attending Dynasty definitely carried into the week, so I think that counts.
It gets worse. Mike Malott won his main event match and disgustingly had his Canadian Flag snatched out of his hands by UFC officials when he attempted to celebrate with it inside the octagon in Winnipeg. We all know Pierre ain't going to grow a spine to say anything about it though.
Or better yet, change the electoral system altogether.
Monopolies inevitably lead to enshittification.
Her other favourite is Jungle Boy and she got a high five from him. Two matches into the show and I bet my buddy felt like dad of the year for springing for those front row tickets.
Lol. That's my friend's daughter and a member of my judo club! Her favourite wrestler is Marina due to Marina's judo! Thanks for posting, I sent him the photo.
Admittedly a bit of hyperbole. The individual bookings made sense in all cases but by the time we got to Kenny, yeah, it felt like the Canadians got buried on our own soil. Not sour, just stating the fact that it was bold. I think they knew that and smartly, they booked the return win for KOR.
This version of Moxley is probably my favourite. Complete veteran, able to bend his persona and wrestling style to suit his opponents, absolute masterclass in the tweener role. So much respect.
Not hating, I had a good time but burying almost all the Canadians in Canada plus Ospreay was a bold choice. KOR tasting his first AEW gold in his hometown was a nice touch though.
Wholeheartedly agree watching at home. Live is another story - not going to lie, it's taxing. I keep coming back though, last night was my 6th PPV I've attended (and survived). It's like buying a 6 pack and willing yourself through the 5th beer because you really want the 6th one.
Asterisk
A little pregaming before routing to #AEWDynasty, my 6th AEW PPV attending live, first in my home city. Thought about which shirt to sport but there was little doubt it'd end up being the Hitman. Let's go Kenny!
Had the same feeling about the original in '22. T-Mobile Arena was electric and when Wild Thing began playing a second time the building came unglued. My daughters had never seen an indie style brawl like that live and they still talk about how awesome it was today.
Just a matter of hours and I'll be burning one down before hopping on the SkyTrain to Dynasty.
Brody King is a Canadian that likes to create awkward moments too?
The episode was definitely memorable. I remember WCW being so bad going into this show, as ridiculous as the concept seems now, it did make sense in the moment. Unfortunately the reset didn't help and I stopped watching altogether shortly after.
Clearly they've put as much thought into Thekla's title run as they did Statlander's. It's such a shame because the Men's World Title has been thoughtfully well booked for months.
None taken! There's genuine validity to what you're saying. When AEW toured here last the Oilers and Canucks were playing in the playoffs - Each city traded barbs on the broadcast. Being there live I thought the Vancouver crowd was hot and drew 7000 for Collision, a show we didn't even get on cable.
We can definitely be front runners, only popping for big names and fellow Canadians. The NHL playoffs are probably a bad time to tour here. Dynasty should be safe as the Canucks are the worst team in the league & we're going to be hungry as AEW has only come to Vancouver once for Collision in '24.
I watched his interview on the Rational National and do agree with many of his policy stances. Perhaps it's me being old and jaded but just not sold him being the guy to get us there but as a life long NDPer still hoping! Canada's in tough political times, I do not envy him.
All the candidates kinda sucked. I miss Jagmeet.
My wife and I play Project Zomboid couch co-op with controllers, we've logged over 1000 hours in about a year and a half but we sure did struggle at the beginning. Found the combat tricky to pick up to the point where we almost gave up.
And a big match in Vancouver!
That feud was God-tier for me.
Yeah, I probably got 4-6 episodes in on the first season of the Wire a couple times then just lost steam. I will pick it up eventually.
