I agree wth all of this. Great advice.

hey, I think I figured out how to avoid the doubling of text when my blog automatically links to BlueSky. I'll get that for the next time I post.
Stranger Than Fiction (2006) Wristwatch
On some projects, I had the fun opportunity to design unusual things. For Stranger Than Fiction our small Montreal VFX team did R&D for on-screen graphics representing Harold Crick's (Will Ferrell's) thoughts and routines, and the creative team at MK12 in…
Hey, I have that exact t-shirt!
Looks like it’s running and sitting at the same time. Give it a rolling desk so it can break the record of running and doing income tax simultaneously.
Yes! it's pretty frustrating.
Thank you, Ian!
My complicated feelings about being online.
This is after all a blog, and for the first time, I'm going to write something just like a blogger does. Or an old guy rambling on too long about stuff. There have been a lot of posts on BlueSky lately about the heavy lifting and exhausting process of…
Aaaarrgh!! Excited but sad! Windows only!!
I agree. My collection of the Quay Brothers short films sets my brain gears spinning.

Ugh, after all the marketing speak too.
Growth-at-all-costs, quantity over quality, profits over people. That’s all I’m reading in this letter, and it’s depressing. Can we have at least one studio that did not drink the kool-aid?
Wonderful sketches!
I’m constantly distracted by art on the walls in movies, often because the art departments are full of art lovers like me that use favourite pieces. Surprised I missed this one, though I barely saw any Doctor Who. Star Trek 1960’s had a lot of brutalist-style sculptures too.
Awesome! Thanks!
Does subscribing to this list automatically block all of them or do I have to block each one on the list individually?
Berkey’s work is a magical blend of realism and impressionistic brushwork. Such a confident painter.
Love it! Would gladly take a trip in that.
Wow, nice! York Minster…I was there 48 years ago and recognized it right away. That’s how much of an impression it left on me.
Great work, and fantastic artists from Montreal! Worked with Mathieu Raynault and Yannick Dussault at the start of their careers. Top-tier talent!

Those first three are from the 1939 New York Wolds Fair, the “Your World of Tomorrow” exhibit inside the giant Perisphere. Also check out the City of Tomorrow in the GM Futurama pavilion. Even more mind-blowing miniatures.

Yes! I worked on several tv ads using this method back in the 80s. A bit time-consuming but very rewarding.
I hope I don’t have to wait until 2027 for the Blu ray of season 2.
I’m on the edge of “Manchester City Football Fans near the British Progressive Left community.” Must be all those UK artist I follow, but I’m not into football.
Other than that and clipping layers, it’s pretty easy to use and has a good interface.
Yeah, it’s in a sub-menu for the brushes under Dynamics, and you have to play with sliders to replicate the effect that’s basically a default setting Photoshop.
Yeah, that’s one feature missing but the one I truly have a problem with is there’s no true opacity pen pressure. There’s a work-around but it’s clunky and counter-intuitive.
