Pretty good progress on my daily goals. I didn’t get to read, write or look at my email, but I did have to deal with switching energy suppliers today. I’m pleased I managed to squeeze in some exercise.

Are cucumbers called so because they are long and cue-like? This summer will I be discovered "chalking" the tip of one with a raspberry and using it to send tomatoes scattering across my lawn?
Does anyone, like me, wish they could edit other people's text messages? Sometimes they come in so poorly spelt and grammatically mangled that I can't turn the dial on my brain low enough to comprehend them. It's like ants crawling under my skin , I swear.

I'm reading over my 2023 journal, and whilst I accomplished a lot of my goals and made progress towards the bigger ones - there is a lot that went wrong in 2023. if the year hadn't ended willingly on 31/Dec I might've hit it over the head with a shovel and buried it in a ditch.
I've just finished writing my groceries list for X-mas '24. One thing less to worry about around NaNo this year!

Dear Father Christmas,
This year, all I want under my tree is the still warm and dripping hearts of the contractors that have been messing be around all year regarding my dining room extension and solar panels. No bow or wrapping required, but a knife and fork would be lovely.
Now that has got to be counted as a spurious reason for categorising things! I used to like having a Blue Ribband with a cuppa, and then I discovered Caramel Wafer Biscuits *drool*
Yes I know it has biscuit in the name. Muddying the waters here!
Thanks Jon. I still think on it now and then, but I'm sure writing him into a story and then KILLING HIM HORRIBLY will be very cathartic.
That and the fact that if you go look for one in the biscuit section of a shop you'll have to give up and go to the chocolate bar section I'd guess? Now where do we stand on Blue Ribbands?

Either:
A) Stacking them extra high/thick is a bonus.
B) Bourbons are already sandwiched so it's been done for you at source, and pink wafers, although tasty are added to selection boxes as a bonus and are not actually biscuits being made of cast off parts of ice-cream cones.
If a custard cream (one of the worst biscuits) counts as a single biscuit, Then so do two chocolate biscuits pressed together, so there!
