Also just learned that the M4 13 inch requires a new Apple Pencil that I don't have so I had to shell out more for that after grumbling for a little bit, but its not the worst thing ever. I did same day shipping on it because I wanna take the tablet for a spin as soon as possible.
The 13 inch iPad Air came in and first impressions are that its amazing, lol. To date its the largest standalone tablet I've ever bought. Most of my devices are on the smaller end so with this I could already see myself doing serious work with it beyond just doodles, including comms etc.
Temporarily swapped out my office chair with a standard folding one + a lower back-supporting cushion and already feel better, but I'm not gonna push it too much though. Really is starting to feel like the chair could be the culprit (on top of poor posture, I really need to stop shrimp-ing) 🖥️🦐
In the meantime while I'm healing up, I may need to prepare to replace my chair in the future with something more ergonomic, as well as my desk to something adjustable, as its a basic table with a fixed height. My PC drawing setup is my happy place and I don't wanna be away from it for too long.
Yeah I think I have some back-related problems forming, probably a combo of a very physical job involving lots of heavy lifting + long hours sitting shrimp style at my desk at home. That new iPad can't arrive fast enough, as I'll probably need to limit my desk time for a few days/ weeks to heal up

I ordered the 13 inch iPad Air which should arrive in the coming days. Pretty excited because now even on nights I don't feel like going to the desk I can still work on stuff including comms with the exact same CSP tools. I'll still use the iPad Mini but I'll mainy use Procreate on it.

Unhealthy working conditions aside, when I was a teen I daydreamed about the US having similar creator-driven weekly comic series magazines, complete with the well-oiled comic-to-animated adaptation pipeline that the manga and anime industry enjoys. Everything here feels extra scrappy by comparison.
Still crazy to me that once One Piece ends the characters in-universe are gonna be like "Man that was a crazy 3-4 years huh?"
Also a large size standalone tablet is the one gap in my toolset. The other day I wasn't feeling well enough to work at my desk so I tried to do the lap desk in bed thing, but my iPad Mini felt too small in that particular use case, which is when I was like "maybe its time to go bigger."
Even as someone who's mainly on the Android side of things, one thing that repeatedly draws me to iPads is the feeling that if you buy one, its gonna be solidly supported for years and years, while with a Samsung tablet there's always this feeling deep down that it'll only get a few years of support
Might get an iPad Air or something in the future as a companion to the Mini. I say Air instead of Pro because I want the larger 13 inch canvas size for CSP's UI, but don't necessarily need the most expensive Pro model. I'm happy they even offer that size in a model that isn't their highest tier, lol

Say what you will about the Mario movies, but one aspect that they knocked out of the park was the score. Not even just talking about the remixes but the original melodies too. I'm a sucker for strong recurring leitmotifs that get used throughout a movie or franchise, lol.

Was up super late last night drawing, good music playing, flow-state activated. In the moment I thought "this is what its all about right here" lol. Spent most of my day off sleeping after that which I try to do less of these days as I get older, but it brought me back to my pre-fulltime-job days.
