I’m terrible about visiting this platform, but here’s a petition I feel strongly about. We can’t afford to lose organizations like the Hamilton Wood Type Museum, but we also need accountable and transparent boards in order to have continued organizational success.

The way the board is handling this situation is shameful.
Please insert an I- the thing I love… 🙄
I tried Tidal last year, but not enough people were using it, and the thing Iove about streaming music is sharing it with others.
WOW. I just switched to qobuz and now I’m having regret. 😂
He does have a really great social media team, though 🤣
We’re greatly looking forward to this!
Six letterpressed posters from Tender-Heart Press. 1. “Another world is not only possible, she’s on her way. Many of us won’t be here to greet her. But on a quiet day, if I listen very carefully, I can hear her breathing.”-Arundhati Roy / 2. “I’m not a woman, I’m not a man, I am something that you’ll never understand.”- Prince / 3. “Mistakes were made. Give it another go tmrw.”- tender-heart press / 4. “We live in Capitalism. Its power seems inescapable, but then, so did the divine rights of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed.”- Ursula K LeGuin / 5. “The world is coming to an end, but until then, let us print.” -school of bad printing / 6. “I call in my kindred through the wordless spirit web. I seed these spells in the dark of the new moon: to be known, to be loved wholly, to be useful, fully alive, & connected. Thread us through one another like electricity webbing down to the earth & skyward again through the return strike. Grow our connection slow like the long-waiting cicada. We emerge knowing each other undeniably by our vibration & song.” -tender-heart press 💖

This movie was so excellent. Highly recommend. I will be thinking about it for months.

This article is somewhat satirical… they haven’t decided what to do with the billboard yet, but they did in fact buy the land and the billboard that comes with it!
I am so very pleased with this outcome. This billboard has been a hateful scourge on Lewis county, WA, for decades. Justice has been served at last!

As a scholar, as a teacher, and now as a museum educator, Chronicling America has been invaluable.
Beyond that, though, it's OURS. We paid for it. It's a public good.
For fuck’s sake.
In other news, we are well and truly fucked. This is what happens when monopolies are created. I’m disappointed with myself for being so reliant on Google and nearly all Google products. 😩
Libraries need funding, for this and many other reasons. Defunding libraries is shameful and harmful to our communities.
We’ve got a closing event on the 30th!
Thank you! It’s up all month.
Collaged flyer announcing a World Collage Day show with over 80 collages. Show is at Ilk Lodge at 515 Jefferson St SE in Olympia, Washington. Opening is Saturday May 10 at 7 pm.
I really have no idea who sees anything I post on here, but any Olympia folks following along are invited to this art opening tomorrow night! We’ve got over 80 7-inch square collages related to themes of Dissent, Organize, Hope & Rage, and Renewal.
I’m so brokenhearted.
Update to this… I’ve made the group public. Here’s a link!

I strongly agree!
Reposting this! Conversation has been slow! 😂

Printmakers, I’ve started a Reddit group for people running, volunteering, working, etc; in community print shops. If you’re interested in being added, let me know! #letterpress #risograph #printmaking
BTW, it will be recorded! I’m not sure when or where it will be available after the fact, but somewhere/when?
Oooh

Now it's also a descriptive term that tries to explain the difference between the buy in/sell out culture that wakes us up every morning for work, and the culture so many of us make every day with our own hands." -Pat Maley Join original Yoyo a Go Go organizers Pat Maley, Michelle Noel, Kento Oiwa, Ed Varga, and Pat Castaldo for a slideshow and panel discussion of Olympia's four Yoyo a Gogo Festivals.
