SOCAR is The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) the fully state-owned national oil & gas company of Azerbaijan.
We demand that SOCAR and BP stop fuelling genocide and support the calls for an energy embargo on Israel!
40% of the crude oil that Israel receives is from the BTC pipeline owned by BP and SOCAR that runs through Azerbaijan and Turkey. Once this BP and SOCAR oil arrives to Israel, it is refined into energy products such as jet fuel and gasoline to power the Israeli assault on Gaza.
Recently Energy Embargo for Palestine, the Palestinian Youth Movement and others released a damning report exposing that 47 million barrels of BP and SOCAR crude oil have been secretly transferred from Turkey to Israel after Turkey’s alleged trade embargo was enforced in May 2024
On Monday night 9th February 2026 we took action against oily SOCAR’s complicity in fuelling the genocide in Gaza and their profits from the Israeli gas industry.
We disrupted their party on a ‘bar crawl’ of disruptions of all the after party events of International Energy Week, a Big Oil event.
