[Huffing copium voice] They're saving it for when the model refresh comes out

There's no one way to exterminatus, there's like half a dozen I can name top of my head. While orbital striking a hive off a planet might happen, glassing by bombardment is actually really slow, so it's not very common. Cyclonics or virus bombs are faster even if theyre shipped in from out-system.
Alas, married to the job (Interstellar Warlord)
I recommend poorhammer for the game side and pancreasnowork for the lore side. Both tend towards the left on the occasions when real politics come up. In general though, if a channel is nothing but warhammer, they're probably fine, it's the generalist outrage tourists that tend to be alt-right.
I don't see the problem
Is this about Portnoy? That little Swampscott rich kid fuck? Acting like he's some north shore tough guy. We used to go Swampscott in high school to break into cars
Fuck him. i hope he loses his shirt
i was reminded today of my favorite bit on twitter which was putting texts from my husband over pictures of tony soprano
Have you heard of Royal Road? It's some kind of bezos backed scheme to get people to publish webnovels so the most popular can be shoved onto kindle unlimited. There's. . . a lot there. One series (Dungeon Crawler Carl) has even broken containment. It's like, at B&N now.
Comic: Types of Board Game. [Each panel has a person, a person with a ponytail, a person with shoulder-length hair, and a person with a white hat seated around a table with different board game and pieces on top. (1) Boring: PERSON 3: Each turn, roll a die and move your token. Turns proceed clockwise around the table until we all get tired and go home. (2) Abstract: PERSON 1: Each turn, you can place any number of red triangles or blue squares on a hexagon, or move any hexagon to a... (3) Hyperspecific Theme: PERSON 2: It’s October 2, 1814. The Congress of Vienna convenes. You are each in charge of distributing and lighting candles for the opening ball, which was held at these three locations... (4) Overcomplicated: PERSON 4: It’s a cross between *Twilight Imperium* and *Cones of Dunshhire*, but implemented entirely in category theory. Every cone is a monad, and... (5) Cooperative: PERSON 3: We’re working together to sort these decks of cards using only hand gestures. After that, we’ll silently organize my junk drawer. (6) Branded: PERSON 1: You can play as Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Ross, Joey, or, due to an ill-advised tie-in, Goku. (7) Party: PERSON 2: Each of the cards in your hand has a bad word on it. On the count of three, yell the... (8) Social Deduction: PERSON 3: Remember, per our *find the secret murderer* house rules from last week, discovering that a player has committed a real-life murder does *not* count.

for example the classic rx-78-2 is a mostly fighter jet with a dash of horse while the gundam aerial is pretty equally dead wife and fighter jet
I only learned that last bit a couple years ago though, a lot christianity tends to skip over the "fuck and or venerate this hyper-specific ethnic group that hasn't existed for a thousand years" bits. (More than you might think, mostly old testament).
It's the reference document that tells us how to get into Heaven, you'd better believe we keep the orginal copy as safe as possible. The melting thing is uh, new. Although apparently the box can only be lifted by one specific tribe of hebrews, and if you aren't one, you just die touching it.
[Raised Christian] I have seen it in other places besides raiders, but usually it's depicted as "the box holding the word of God", which is obviously important, although it's usually more important in the way a Gutenberg bible would be than important like the demon core.
So for most of those options the launch won't change things too much, but the launch box is Orks and Space marines, and BT work a little oddly, they get all the space marine stuff, and then like 15 additional kits. So wait for Orks or BT, but for anyone else buying now is fine.
I'm given to understand this franchise is primarily about the struggles of being a single father, but frankly I'm kind of a tourist.
Then it came out and was awesome, so an order of magnitude more people than usual are flinging shit at the outrage merchants for being freaks disconnected from reality. The game itself is irrelevant. The ecosystem is so perfectly shaped for Discourse™ that it can be spun out of nothing.
They made the wrong call on Pragmata because it's a weird new IP from a Japanese studio that's single player focused, which the collective delusion that floats in their group chats says is unpopular.
Every game that comes out now is fodder for the right wing outrage machine, and thus must be immediately slotted into the binary of marxist wokeness or based westernality, and they decide which one it is based on how popular they expect it to be.
I offer an expansion:
Final advice: Rushing to 2K points is a bad idea and a great way to unnecessarily pressure yourself. There's support for 500 and 1K games, which are easier to do because less models are involved. Start with a single character from whatever faction you each pick, then move towards those in stages.
You should also probably be aware of the time investment on a typical game, 2-3 hours is a game where everything has gone off well, which rarely happens.
I recommend this playlist to pretty much everyone new looking to get into warhammer, you don't need everything but you can pick and choose topics you're curious on to get more context: youtube.com/playlist?lis...
They are almost certainly going to try and push you towards Space Marines (or Stormcast Eternals, depending on local stock). This is not a bad option, but I would recommend looking at the armies and picking your favorite before just picking the mascot faction.
Find your Friendly Local Game Store. They may or may not be a brand affiliate, most hobby shops will have some warhammer stuff even if they aren't affiliates. The markets for warhammer tend to be suprisingly local. Never buy models direct from GW, they're always cheaper from a 3rd party.
11th is coming soon, so make sure you buy the 11th stuff instead of 10th stuff. The launch box in particular is usually good. GW has a bunch of branded hobby supplies, I don't recommend buying any of them except for some of their technical paints. Almost any 3rd party is better for cheaper.
They weren't stuck, they were undergoing voluntary penance for a century after accidentally obliterating Napoleon with a cannon. You got the gist though.
Me: oh I wonder what those wacky minions the kiddos love so much will be up to this time
Illumination:
3-panel comic. (1) (A person with a picture of a spacecraft behind head.] PERSON 1: There are now three spacecraft headed to Europe: NASA’s *Europa Clipper*, which will investigate Europa’s subsurface ocean, (2) [Person is gesturing at a picture of a different spacecraft while talking to a person with a ponytail and a person with short hair.] PERSON 1: ESA’s *Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer*, which will study the topography and chemistry of Europa and the other moons, (3) [Person with a picture behind head of a Zamboni with a rocket launcher underneath] and the NHL’s *Zamboni Voyager*, which plans to resurface Europa. PERSON FROM OFF-PANEL: Oh no. PERSON 1: We tried to stop them, but the league is set on an expansion.
