The first thing that always goes through my mind: How does one dust?
I don’t know! Ketchum added that detail and I never questioned it!
Got to be a part of a panel for horror at the Las Cruces Film Festival with @luckymckee.bsky.social, Bruce Davison, and Kimberly Clark! From Massacre at Central high!
Picture of Spybot droid from the new Star Wars show Maul: Shadow Lord
The boy is all in on Spybot. I’m with him on this one.
The Shadow, a short that reteamed me with Valerie Alene from the Empty Space will have its premiere at the Docklens Film Festival in London at the end of this month! Very Excited to finally have this short done and go international with its first premiere!
One of the coolest gigs I had was running the Facebook side of the One Perfect Shot Account in the mid 2010s. I thought I lost my entire collection of film stills I shared, but just got a new device that somehow synced up to a really old account & I found them! Let’s kick things off.
1) VERTIGO
Now this is what I call a thread. ❤️❤️❤️
Goddamn. WANT!!!
Here's this Stanley Kubrick piece I made
Cover of Fantastic Films Collectors Edition (1980) CLONE WARS EXPLAINED
SPECULATION (Continued from p. 33) enter a male-dominated profession. Boba could be a family nickname for Roberta. Fett is the last survivor of a group of Commandoes the Jedis exterminated during the Clone Wars, so she could rightfully hold a grudge against all Jedis, including Sky-walker. Removing her armor, she tricked Luke's father into falling in love with her, and led him into Vader's trap. When Darth Vader was still in his apprenticeship, the Emperor offered him a chance to destroy those who had murdered his foster parents and sold him into slavery. Vader succumbed to the Dark Side of Revenge, and the Jedi Knights tried to stop him. When the Emperor sentenced all…
Crop of acrylic painting by Jennifer Dionisio, shows a small part of a woman's portrait.
Peek at my new painting for a cinema themed group show opening in May. Guess the film!
I may be the last to review the new #StarWars cartoon #MaulShadowLord, but in the end, probably the best. Go read it now. lytrules.substack.com/p/maul-shado...
I know I'm fighting against the tides when it comes to engagement of my review, but that's okay; it beats having to deal with the garbage that is X. Still, if you'd spread it around, I would appreciate it. www.vitalthrills.com/star-wars-ma...
Just wanna throw out there that whomever has the rights to THE 13TH WARRIOR and might be working on a 4K of it - I desperately want to write something for you for it. Or record something. Anything. If the best thing I can do for your release is stay far away from it, gladly. Just lemme know.
Had a chuckle remembering this again.
Orensilver has a point though: when I watched The Irishman I thought ‘this is just fucking Kundun all over again’
Up way too early for Legos and lightsabers and chocolate bunnies - MOUSEHUNT keeping us company on the tv. What a gorgeous looking movie.
Currently watching- Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975)
Thanks to @luckymckee.bsky.social and @vanessamckee.bsky.social for reminding me of Peter Weir's greatness
It’s jaw dropping.
One of the most beautiful looking films I’ve ever seen.
Been watching a lot of Peter Weir in the McKee house lately. Dude put up Kubrick numbers. (Also highly recommend Mosquito Coast which just wrecked us.)
And if you already love MAY or are about to be a new fan! You must seek out the work of its director @luckymckee.bsky.social who is truly for the girls. I was also LUCKY enough to have him on Feeling Seen, where we discussed a movie that is very much not May! maximumfun.org/episodes/fee...
Picture of a TV screen with the title: Master and Commander. The Far Side Of The World
Now rewatching

A yellow square graphic with the words "FEELING SEEN" in black. Around the words, comics-style graphics of eyes, along with two stills from the film MAY, both of Angela Bettis as May. In one, a slender, mousy woman stares off into the distance; behind her, we can see a pale doll seeming to stare out at us, and at her. In the other, May wears glasses and looks coyly up out of frame. In the corner of the graphic, a red-tinted image of a woman with dark hair, cat-eye glasses, and septum jewelry smiling with her eyes closed.
Alex Heller-Nicholas @horrornonna.com wrote the book on women in horror.
It's called '1000 Women in Horror' 💅 And now it's a documentary on Shudder!
This week, she and @jorcru.bsky.social are diving deep into the horror depths, with Lucky McKee's MAY as a guide.

I have been planning for years to have Alex on Feeling Seen, because she is a goddess of horror cinema! So when she brought up MAY to discuss on the occasion of her excellent new doc debuting I was just over the moon! Find us on YouTube here m.youtube.com/watch?v=ImdL...
Just wrote “chandelier” without getting spell-checked. Great fucking day.
Will be fun to do this with my pal Andrew! Gonna have to rewatch Massacre at Central High…
