Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

"This is an important thing to think about."
It's important to amplify this weasel move by Doug Ford. He wants to be able to do more corrupt moves beyond buying a private jet and not allow the public to know.

For the record, for anyone who’s forgotten, it’s sheer madness for a president to contradict himself nearly every day. It’s profoundly wrong that we can’t trust the veracity of a single thing that he says.
👍 just like the orange "victim" south of us.
😏

Heaven forbid that the Premier had to travel on the northern highways.
Oh wait... he doesn't go there anyways.
Congrats on “opening” a strait that was open six weeks ago, and all it cost was at least 13 dead service members, thousands of dead Iranian civilians, tens of billions in taxpayer dollars, our loss in global standing, and the Iranian regime’s increase in power. Phenomenal work.
my conspiracy theory is wall street is doing everything it can to keep everything from collapsing until dems take the house and senate so they can blame the implosion on them
At some point the endless string of corrupt behaviour has got to catch up to Doug Ford. How will this play with all the rubes who see him as 'one of them'?

Is making public transport free “effective?”
“…the relatively small difference between Victoria and NSW suggests price is not the main constraint on mode shift. Access, travel time, service reliability and the ability to make specific trips appear to matter more.”

Amazon will pay $20.5 million to settle allegations that two of its Oregon data centers helped contaminate groundwater.
This is exactly why communities across the country are organizing to stop data centers — and winning.
Never doubt your power to change the system.
“When it comes to corporate bailouts, luxury spas, or speeding up alcohol privatization, there’s billions in public dollars to subsidize private interests. But when it comes to our public colleges, something we universally benefit from, Ford always comes up dry." -- JP Hornick
I will always find it confusing that some people think a person riding a $2000 bike to commute is a privileged elitist but the guy in the $80k truck that costs $150 to fill is the working class average joe.
🇭🇺 Péter Magyar after his meeting with Hungary's President:
He should be voluntarily leaving his office. If he does not leave voluntarily, we will use the mandate given to us by the voters.
Through constitutional amendments and legal changes, we will remove him and all the other Orban puppets.
A Belgian actor has exposed Europe's hypocrisy He said: "You are thinking of expelling the Iranian ambassador from the country, but during the genocide that has been ongoing for two years, none of you has demanded the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador. This is shameful."
I’m sure we can add to this list….
1/5. I want to try to amplify this point — Vance does not believe that morality is an autonomous sphere of life at all; only fools think that, in his world.

“Basic income has been shown to reduce health care costs, including an 8.5% reduction in hospitalizations. As Dr. Danielle Martin [the newly elected Liberal MP in today’s by-election] has so pointedly said, “If we discovered a drug that reduced hospitalizations by 8.5%, we’d put it in the water.”

Péter Magyar on Polish politicians Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski, facing misuse of public funds & abuse of power charges, who Orbán granted asylum to:
"They shouldn't buy any furniture in Hungary because they are not staying long. Hungary will not be an asylum for international criminals."
Dementia test with one difference..person, camera, tv, doctor (Trump as Jesus).
On a more serious note, this does show the necessity of a big-tent single-issue pro-democracy coalition. Autocrats lose when anti-authoritarianism is the opposition-uniting priority, and win when they can play divide and conquer on lesser issues.
If it wasn't already clear, you can definitively mark today, the morning after Donald Trump depicted himself as Jesus Christ, that congressional Republicans fully revealed themselves to not actually care at all about Christian values. It was always primarily a grift.
Peter Magyar confirmed that Szijjarto, Orbán's FM, has barricaded himself with some of his closest colleagues and is shredding documents related to the sanctions on Russia any other evidence of treason.
The end of Viktor Orbán’s autocratic regime is a victory not just for Hungary, but for people who value democracy around the world. Congratulations to Tisza, to incoming leader Péter Magyar, and to Hungarians everywhere.
