my schedule has finally cleared up and my gamedev brain lobe has shot up in bed in a cold sweat, where am i?

Here's another Japan track from this morning, this time with video accompanying (though of questionable quality). I love playing bass and would love to play for any of you musicians out there, more information on my profile.

I figure I'll start posting my bass work here as well. This song is "Gentlemen Take Polaroids" by Japan; they're a favorite of mine. Original bassline by Mick Karn, 1980. Check out my page if this interests you!

I've opened a Fiverr page if anyone needs a bass track for their song. The rate is $15 a track and I'll play as weird as you let me. Though I can play in a variety of styles as needed. www.fiverr.com/s/6Yrd8pB

First they have to get used to optimizing at all 🥀
What?
I appreciate it! Yeah I just saw the post was deleted and saw the opportunity to be silly.

There’s a TF2 coconut in Unity’s source code and I put it there.

Decided to start working on a third feature, so this is day one of adding loot boxes and micro-transactions.

I made myself my favorite miso soup. While it was in the microwave I went to look around my kitchen and living room and it was very nice. I especially like my Christmas tree.
something’s on its way, claustrophobic people have had it too easy for too long 🙏

I checked it out just now after continually hearing about it. Definitely my kind of game, and I see what you mean about the visuals!
Sadly had to cut a few assets today for looking entirely too good. The visual quality of the textures I was making was completely unacceptable.

Literally JUST picked back up a project I started a few months ago. So far it’s just a visual demonstration of a weird style I came to like. I have not yet even thought of gameplay. I believe There’s a bit more about it on my account. I appreciate the interest, thank you for asking!
Oh yeah I do that a ton. I like to leave at least some kind of comment on every “sub-section” of code, leading to such painfully obvious comments as:
//speed
float speed;
float walkSpeed;
float crouchSpeed;
Just in case I forget what these variable are, of course.
genuine code i actually wrote:
if (crouching)
//uncrouch
game of the year here we come

I’m doing more UI work today, using a directional light to make the 3D elements stand out. I’m trying to mix ‘00s futurism with a surreal “post-lobotomy” aesthetic. I haven’t done much, but I’m loving it so far.

I love free will (coding a full dialogue system before I even add jumping) #gamedev
What 10 minutes of Cruelty Squad gameplay does to a person:
The second one feels more Sci-Fi and faithfully retro, while the first one gives a more industrial look. I personally prefer the second
Storytelling is too hard this next one will be absolute nonsense
Looks great so far! I love the artstyle
Pretending I know how to code.
Ohh I see. Yeah that method is more to do with atmosphere, I’m not terribly experienced with gameplay design yet
I write a sequence of words and phrases that “feel” like the atmosphere and emotion I’m trying to convey
doing really weird surreal game storytelling is hard guys
I'd say using the unity default shader in a retro-style game. Like guys at least use diffuse please I'm begging.
