There’s nothing explicit on the Apps so far as I can tell but there is some annoying loss of functionality in both. It’s also likely that some old Kayo quality/functionality has been included in the new App. I expect there’s some upgrades still in the works too.

Yeah. A couple of weeks ago the new Foxtel owners swapped Kayo and Binge over to Apps compliant with their overseas Apps, presumably to cut support costs in Australia.
I noticed that sound quality was better yesterday.

So after they downgraded Kayo to the notoriously clunky DAZN App.

I’ve got to say that I was more surprised at his original selection than his later non selection. I was thrilled that they considered him ready but not shocked when/if he turned out not to be.
But I bow to any better knowledge?

The NRL on Kayo is the same. Is DAZN compressing the audio (or some other techo babble) for Kayo?
AFL sounds fine on a Ch7 stream and their digital broadcast.

It’s the same on the NRL live game on Kayo. The crowd sound like they’re chatting at half time but the game is on!
The Ch7 AFL stream has much more intense audio.

I should’ve swapped to Ch7 last night to compare. I just gave them
a pass on Thursday because of the storms and location.

Over on Ch7 the sound is certainly more intense, as if it’s a wider range of frequencies. I dunno.

Does anyone else think there’s something strange going on with AFL crowd noise on Kayo. It seems very muted and diluted as if the effects mics have been installed up on level three. Am I just making it up? I’m even wondering if the combox sound is thin too.
