Really stoked right now, just got a new pen. Strangely enough, have bad handwriting and just use to scribble notes/thoughts throughout the day but love pens.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains.

In the end, the price point of the device itself is not super attractive but you can definitely see how this would be super attractive for your standard corporate office worker who lives in Microsoft’s suite of tools.

Windows 365 Link is a $349 mini PC that streams Windows from the cloud It’s a mini PC that connects to a powerful cloud PC.

Return of the thin clients? If the service itself isnt expensive it definately makes it more likely I’d get one of these rather than building a new PC. Wonder how this will be for coding? www.theverge.com/2024/11/19/2...

nicest is probably speed, both uv and ruff are lightning fast (would love to see a version of pytest focused on speed).

Also, a bunch of other good stuff collected from elsewhere, like good lockfiles, manages virtual environments and python versions, etc.

Haven't been coding full time in awhile and been busy so haven't really had to many side projects. All that being said, I have been messing with uv and ruff. What an excellent improvement to python tooling. Really enjoyable to use.

Did one of these Enneagram quizzes the other day and had pegged myself totally wrong when I read the descriptions beforehand. Shocking revelations for me while my wife was like "yeah, of course thats your number"

Top thing I am appreciating over here in comparison to x is the incentives on sharing cool links and such isn't fucked up. Checking the timeline and just seeing relatively high signal to noise is great.

Hope it keeps up!

Your example below is a perfect example of why, even if the tools never get better than where they are right now, its still a huge win for writing code. I'd be happy to get back all the time I would spend refactoring basic tests, etc.

tradeoffs: I'd normally go sleep, not too long, just don't want to create a rash, cause then you are stacking problems on problems!
