Better democracy, not more democracy.

No, no, you've got it wrong. It's “THE inappropriate relationship,” not “an inappropriate relationship.”
Looks like the prosecutors couldn’t make it stand up in court
Nothing. This has always been who he is.
what’s funny about this is that tarantino wrote this “ezekiel 25:17“ for the film. it isn‘t actually in the bible. publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/hegseth-bo...
It's the classic Mel Gibson and Jesus meme where Mel is on set in normal clothes casually chatting to a very bloody Jesus (for those of you who don't know it).

do you want "Catholicism but american" we invented that, it's called Episcopalianism and it's even more woke. all the priests are lesbians. good luck
And here I am, old enough to remember when George W. Bush’s nomination of his (unqualified) personal attorney for a SCOTUS seat was a massive scandal that generated bipartisan opposition.
Bowie famously made some pretty pro-fash comments in the mid/late 70s that he later walked back!
I suspect the Pope sounds "woke" to many Christian conservatives because the US is steeped in prosperity theology, where the point of worship is to deliver health and wealth to believers. Thus, "feed the hungry" and "show mercy for the poor" sounds needlessly political and "woke."
It's literally just this.
Happy Shoulda Finished The Job Day
I’ve been thinking about this guy almost daily for ten fucking years. essentially my entire 30’s. when he finally croaks I imagine I’ll let out a sigh so deep it realigns my fucking spine
There’s a reason people read the classics.
One Good Man.
Just eliminate the OLC. It exists to form predetermined legal conclusions that justify executive power grabs and make the president even more above the law every day.
Subtly beneath the bogus criticism of birthright citizenship is a weird insistence that the "true meaning of law" is discoverable in the way natural phenomena are discoverable. That provision means whatever we want it to mean, so why do you want it to mean something racist and xenophobic?
In the US, banks have to report any cash transaction over $10K to the gov’t for anti-money laundering purposes.”Structuring” is when you intentionally split up a single large transaction into multiple smaller transactions to avoid the reporting threshold. It's a federal crime.
The first draft it any good opposition or reply brief is always just Vinny’s opening statement. The second draft is where you work out your real argument.
"There would be one long staircase just going up
And one even longer coming down
And one more leading nowhere, just for show"

Christmas is famously only one day, pay no attention to the Carol behind the curtain.
I mean, it's honestly hard to disagree with Tilis given the trend of Supreme Court’s recent decisions on presidential power and immunity. SCOTUS has made the president into the anti-Spider-Man: “With great power comes no responsibility.”
Goddamit, its just really not a good week to be a Buffy fan.
I could say something like I don’t like Warren’s endorsement because Jews are an important part of the Democratic coalition, but that’s not even it. It’s not really about political pragmatism. I won’t be a part of a political group that would have a man playing footsie with Nazis as a Senator.
Yeah, Bernie has always been a questionable judge of character, but I expect better of Warren.
Big iced tea matchup on Friday
It's only barely *adequate* for the parking lot.
Trump is such an asshole he’s got the Irish guy defending the English guy
