It is unclear what connects her to Rust, but they seem to have a sort of symbiosis. --- Centuries have passed since the cataclysm that irreversibly reshaped what was once known as Earth. In the aftermath of ecological and gravitational collapse, those who remained sought refuge among the floating landmasses that rose from the ruins, building sheltered colonies meant to outlast an uncertain future. Over time, however, the surface began to recover, and some wished to return. A century and a half ago, that decision ignited a war that ended in a permanent divide between two civilizations: the Terrans, who reclaimed the world below, and the Order of Karator, which now rules over the colonies. While the Terrans have adapted to the harsh and unstable surface, the Order has grown increasingly wary of the seismic phenomena spreading across it, fearing the signs of another collapse. Things change, however, when a group of Terrans discover an ancient, giant machine rising from beneath the earth... and the sleeping girl within it.
