I don't feel like an alien because we are now finally able to have conversations about life, all while being nerds that just like games and anime.
For the longest time I felt like I was forced to grow up fast due to life circumstances. It made me feel like the "dad/unc" amongst my friends and made some interactions difficult. It wasn't until recently that some of them hit that point of maturity and they had that mental shift. Has been nice.
