US-Israeli Attacks on Iran Show a Pattern of ‘Double-Tap’ Strikes New Lines verified three cases in Tehran and Karaj where sites were hit multiple times, increasing the harm to civilians and first responders for little military advantage

Analysis by @ntabrizy.bsky.social and myself for @newlinesmag.bsky.social reveals that the U.S.-Israeli coalition has employed so-called double tap strikes, showing a callous disregard for civilians and a pattern of airstrikes seeking to inflict reckless harm on Iranians.

There is no excuse for downplaying or eliding the insanity of Trump’s morning post. It is the most unhinged public comment by a president in US history and should be reported and remarked upon as such.

US has posted several photos showing jets equipped with dispensers that can dispense BLU-91/B mines, which Bellingcat previously identified in an Iranian village on March 26.

These photos were taken on April 2, so it appears the US may be continuing to deploy these mines in Iran.
