Really can't overstate how good Invincible has gotten. Best genre show since Game of Thrones

If you're not watching Invincible you are really missing out. This is what Marvel wishes it could do

wouldn't it have been better for Thaedus to poison the Viltrumites again instead of costing thousands of lives in a war? I understand it's a biological weapon but there's only 50 of them
Any Frank Zappa fans amongst my cherished followers? I'm trying to triangulate the fanbase for his #humorous music
Don't miss the extended version, which is different but equally amazing www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FdW...

George Harrison's later solo career was uneven, but every time he wrote about the Beatles, he made a classic www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNL4...
In the "What historical person would you be" game, is there a better answer than Paul McCartney? He's had every kind of triumph, short- and long-term; enjoyed every pleasure imaginable; and presided over a half-century of music he essentially invented. Hard to imagine a better life
does BlueSky have a zoomer Beatles fan contingent too or is that just a quirk of Twitter
formatting bibliographies while listening to Double Fantasy is as close as I get to Zen

When I was growing up, American conservatives were the "don't tread on me" party. Don't take my guns, don't tell me what to do, get out of my life. I'm not sure that even Donald Trump's renowned charisma is enough to explain the sudden shift to "comply or be summarily executed"
You'd think the 20th century would have taught us to avoid concentrating power in one person's hands

Yeah if even the smarter students are doing it then we're truly fucked. Schools apparently can't stop it or just won't take the necessary steps. US politicians are completely ignoring AI because they are too busy starting fights with allies. The youth are not prepared for the world to come.
In the past week alone I've edited two essays by 16-year-olds and one PhD thesis on cybersecurity that were clearly 100% written by AI. I do not look forward to living under governments and a private sector that are functionally illiterate
Supposing the university system does survive another generation, how could it withstand the ascendence of Gen Z and Alpha, whose cognitive capabilities, by all accounts, extend as far as their last ChatGPT prompt?
Gotta be the most underappreciated Beatles album
Just noticing the Beatles interpolation in Frank Ocean's Blonde ("White Ferrari"). Music is so rad
bluesky has lots of annoying people but twitter has lots of genuinely evil people
Finding myself forced to apply for jobs for the first time since the early pandemic (April 2020). Academic editing and writing work is being eliminated by the machines. If anyone has any tips or tricks or JOBS for 2026, let me know
The write-up for #1 is really great. I'm waiting for it to happen to me too
Merry Christmas, everyone! Drink some eggnog (or peyote) and watch this with your kids archive.org/details/yell...
it seems like K-pop is just American pop but...Korean. is there some artistic advance there that I'm not seeing
