Southwest Nebraska hospital announces plans to close, blames uncertainty over funding Community Hospital in McCook announced Wednesday that it will close Curtis Medical Center in Curtis, winding down its services over the next several months.

The Medicaid cuts in the Big Ugly Bill have already claimed their first victim. A hospital in Nebraska has announced its closure in response to financial uncertainty.

Congress was informed about the dangers of these closures. Republicans simply lied.
