I can't think of a better way for Draft2Digital to compel indie authors to only distribute thru Amazon KDP than by implementing activation fees for new accounts and annual maintenance fees for authors earning less than $100 per year.

I start missing Gerry Conway when I get to this era ... π
Yeah, this era is when the writing and storylines start to become stale. Sigh....
Cover of the Amazing Spider-Man #172 with Rocket Racer
Comic book mail: Amazing Spider-Man #172. Sep 1977. Writer: Len Wein. Penciler: Ross Andru. "The Fiend from the Fire!" First appearance of the Rocket Racer and an unstable Molten Man shows up by the end, leaving Spidey to face off with gun-toting cops.
Writing a few sentences in my current WIP is better than not writing at all, right? Asking for a friend. π

Keanu Reeves koozie on my beer next to my kamado smoker
Seems like a good day to bring out Keanu, Lord of the BBQ, and smoke some baby back ribs.

Read that quirky yet endearing novel from a university press. Take it all in because it'll only make a writer better. 2/2 end
I'm a preliminary judge for a book award and it's so good to see so many exceptional books from all genres. It's a great reminder to read widely! Get out of a comfort zone. Read that weird little intense book from a small press. Read that dramatic voicey novel from a big publisher... 1/2
Authors, as fun as social media is, if you need writing or publishing advice, then join a writers group. The Authors Guild is a great place to start. In Texas, we have the Writer's League. Many states have their own writers groups. Please, for the love of writing, get advice from a legit source!
Pretty wild! π¨

If you love audiobooks, then here's a bit of shameless promotion about mine! Narrated by Brian P. Craig, Tim Sailer, or myself, these stories are often funny, sometimes endearing, yet always entertaining. Find them on Audible, Libro.FM, and everywhere you listen to audiobooks. Links in comments!
That was cool!
I'm so excited to watch the Artemis II launch! π π
Such a great album, front to back!
Writers: if you'll need a laptop soon, then better buy it now because RAM prices are skyrocketing. OR, dust off the old typewriter or your fave writing pen. Don't need any RAM in those old writing doodads.π
