"Hegseth yesterday took time out of his busy schedule of committing war crimes and firing generals to focus on the real enemy: vaccination...[But if] mandatory vaccination represents an 'era of betrayal,' then George Washington’s woke vaccines are the root of it."

It can be repeated several times, and the efficacy varies by individual. It can help for a year, three years or maybe ten. I’ll revisit options if the effects wear off based on my situation at the time. I’m recently retired and planning on traveling so I wanted to avoid international RX issues.
Watching NOVA-Return to the moon, about the Artemis II mission. The courage and calm of the crew was inspiring. Their faith in the support teams and in the science and engineering underpinning the mission is a testament to centuries of theory, calculation, testing, education and endeavor. Bravo!
I just had the laser surgery (trabeculoplasty) because one eye wasn’t responding as well as the other after 1.5 years, and there was beginning to be an impact on the optic nerve/field of view on testing. That isn’t a permanent solution either. Would have preferred to stick with the drops!
I was taking drops 1x day at bedtime. It took me a week or to to remember to take them consistently, but once the habit was established it was easy. Just like other meds that I take consistently first thing in the morning. Worth it to preserve your eyesight over time!
In February 1777, General George Washington ordered the first mass immunization campaign in American history by mandating that his troops be inoculated against smallpox. He protected the Continental Army from an epidemic that was deadlier than British forces.
249 years later, we have this idiot.

Watching Shrinking. I did not think I would be interested in this, but heard a review on PBS today and decided to check it out. Enjoying it very much, deeply intense topics but with a leavening of humor. Great ensemble cast, special shout out to Harrison Ford.

RIP to Jesse Jackson. His funeral is today. I wanted to share this clip from his appearance on Sesame Street in 1971. His important words ring just as true today as they did back then.
It wasn't "cancel culture" when women and people of color got used up, silenced, and dismissed before their careers even began. It only became "cancel culture" when powerful abusers started having established careers momentarily inconvenienced by revelations of what they'd done.

we need to talk about that Ring Super Bowl ad
A large (maybe 3 feet wide by 5 feet tall) sign on the end of a row of bookshelves that tells the “address” of books that have sensitive content.
Sometimes I think it’s going to be the librarians who will save us all.
Best Christmas ad yet! Knocks John Lewis into a cocked hat.

“[W]e have now acquired a fateful power to alter and destroy nature. But man is a part of nature, and his war against nature is inevitably a war against himself.”

CMAT relasing Euro-Country "was the end of Bertie's chances. By making the financial crash a culturally live issue again, she channelled 1.21Gws of raw artistic power directly into Bertie's campaign and sent it like a DeLorean, back into all those futures lost. "

Five years ago, a very close relative died of a glioblastoma brain tumor at the age of 13. Today would have been his 19th birthday. And now comes news that an mRNA vaccine is being trialed to treat this very (incurable) malady. Fingers crossed.

We’ve discovered a literal miracle with almost unlimited potential and it’s being scrapped for *no reason whatsoever*. This isn’t even nihilism, it’s outright worship of death and human suffering.
🎉 Congratulations to Jennifer Doudna! The Nobel Laureate has just received the @acs.org‘s Priestley Medal for her incredible work on CRISPR-Cas9 🧬 and contributions to unlocking the power of RNA. 🧪
