The Amazon Web Services region in #Bahrain appears to be offline after being damaged again in another Iranian strike.

Traffic to me-south-1 disappeared ~01:00 UTC on April 1, with connection failures increasing significantly.

Iran has been effectively disconnected from the global Internet for four full weeks now, as the shutdown reaches its 28th day. DNS traffic remains near zero, and Web traffic from the country remains extremely minimal, with allowlists limiting access.

UK #Internet provider TalkTalk experienced a service disruption between ~07:00-08:15 UTC today.
While Web traffic from the network dropped as much as 69%, 1.1.1.1 resolver traffic was up slightly, as some users suggested changing DNS servers resolved their connectivity issues.

Issues at a power plant & damage to an underground cable have disrupted Internet connectivity across the US Virgin Islands. St. Thomas is seeing a 66% traffic drop, and St. Croix a 56% drop, while VI Powernet is totally offline.

After power issues impacted service earlier this month, the AWS me-south-1 region in #Bahrain is again experiencing issues, reportedly due to drone activity.

Error rates, connection failures, and response times have all increased, starting ~22:30 on March 23.

During March, #Cuba has experienced three #Internet disruptions due to widespread power outages, clearly visible in a traffic graph. It is interesting to observe that traffic has not recovered to the levels seen in February after each power restoration.

Although Ministerio de Energía y Minas Cuba reports ongoing restoration of electrical services, #Cuba continues to suffer from a 2nd wide-scale power outage in under a week. #Internet traffic from the island has dropped as much as 77% compared to the previous week.

After 21 days, the #Internet shutdown in #Iran remains in place, with the country mostly offline during Nowruz, the Persian New Year. Only two brief traffic spikes appeared during that period from AS58224 (TCI). HTTP, DNS, and overall traffic remain near zero.

Another similar event was observed today between 19:15 - 19:50 UTC (22:45 - 23:20 local time). Once again, traffic from AS58224 (TCI) in #Iran saw a massive spike, growing 5-6000x over a 30-minute period.

Regular status updates from the Cuban Electric Union and the Ministry of Energy and Mines tracked the restoration of electrical service across Cuba. As of 00:00 UTC March 18, #Internet traffic from the island returned to expected levels, suggesting that power had largely been restored.

The #Internet shutdown put into place after the presidential election in the Republic of Congo appears to have ended. Traffic started to recover at 17:20 UTC, after a 2.5 days outage. Three final IPv4 prefixes began getting announced again at that time as well, after an initial recovery on Monday.

The reannouncement of IPv4 address space across multiple providers 24 hours later coincides with a nominal increase in traffic, which appears to be driven largely by Congo Telecom. However, overall traffic remains well below pre-shutdown levels.

According to the Cuban Electric Union, "A total disconnection of the National Electric Power System has occurred." At 17:35 UTC, #Internet traffic from #Cuba fell significantly, dropping 65% almost immediately.

Unusual event observed on AS58224 (TCI) in #Iran today. ~15:00 UTC, they briefly withdrew 74% of announced IPv4 space. After recovering, #Internet traffic from the network skyrocketed.
~15:30, it briefly withdrew all announced IPv4 space. After recovery, traffic again returned to near-zero.
