It was important to me to ensure the best in a horrible situation. Hamas is a red line. I loath them. My concern was for the mothers and fathers caught in this conflict holding their dying child and being utterly helpless.

As a Jew who has studied the Holocaust, has family who fought, won, lost, died, and some shipped off during ww2, it's important to make a distinction between criticizing a state and a people.
