Future trials and vaccine campaigns must ensure that there are measures in place to respect individual autonomy of decision. Increasing vaccine education could strengthen consent and ensuring PDL participation in study oversight with community counsels could promote trust within the population

Overall this indicates that new vaccine products would be well accepted by people deprived of liberty in Brazil.

distrust in the vaccine, coertion and less TB knowledge was more frequently reported by males than females, but the overall acceptability was high in both groups (M - 94.1% and F - 98.7%)

Reported Tuberculosis Symptoms: An Inadequate Classifier of Disease State We provide evidence that self-reported symptoms are an inadequate classifier of disease state, heavily influenced by context and substantial interviewer va

This is a really lovely paper by @dopapus.bsky.social and team

Self report of TB symptoms depends on lots of external factors and there are more robust markers of disease extent / severity available to inform surveillance and clinical management

We need to think beyond symptom status to classify TB disease, currently we have increasing evidence that symptom reporting is unreliable to assert disease states.

Very happy that i had the privilege to collaborate with this work!

Another successful "Intro to TB Modelling" course in Copenhagen at #WLHC2025. Over 70 joined to learn about TB modelling!

Followed by the now-traditional TB Modelling and Analysis Consortium social, which was also very well-attended and a lot of fun.
