It's also weird how paint by the numbers their solution to the entity is when Ethan's defining trait is creative improvisation.

"Living in isolation on this Arctic island, we of course made sure our cabin, heated only by a woodstove, was constructed out of the most flammable wood available. Be sure not to even drop a couple of hot coals, because WHOOOF"
It's like they suddenly wanted to pull tonally from the Craig Bond franchise
It should, for sure. But splitting up the team, making the human villain a non-entity and trying to revisit every moment leading up to this just kills it. Also inexplicably giving fan-fav and franchise staple Luther cancer in between films, not exactly light hearted escapism
That Giffen Show- Episode 11 tinyurl.com/3zu5zjay In this episode, @mattbegins.bsky.social and I will be talking about the first nine annuals that were part of DC Comics 1992 annual crossover, Eclipso: The Darkness Within.
CASABLANCA is a movie I can show to 10 year olds, while COME AND SEE is a movie adults find difficult to see. They are all about fighting fascism but there's a difference in register. SW is for kids. It's an entertaining film for all ages. It's not The Sorrow and the Pity in outer orbit.
You know what people want in a pre-title MI sequence? The sitcom anniversary clip show experience!
The only MI film I have never rewatched. I don't know if it can rightly be called a bad movie, but it's certainly not as fun as even the weakest entries in the series. MI2 at least has over the top entertainment value going for it.

May he languish in AOL for all eternity
While I don't think that's the intention, Superman comes across as uncharacteristically (and hilariously) passive aggressive, especially if you read his line thanking the JL for their sacrifices fighting Doomsday as him throwing shade which they take as a genuine compliment
The secret is focusing on the image while a dial-up modem screeches in the background
I reread this arc and the entire Vado run multiple times trying to crack Matt's code, pretty sure at some point I called in to my local radio station ranting about Bloodwynd and Zero Hour
"Spirits of the dead, I call on you to spell my name in ectoplasm for all to see"
Not going to lie, this is a big selling point for me

Bloodwynd has decided to just nope out of this whole ordeal.
God, everyone in the DCU in the 90s was going shopping and thinking "this season's must-have color is purple-brown."
Ted should take a page from the Power Rangers playbook and get civvies that render him easily identifiable!
Bruised prune was really in at the time.
