Because Mr Lewis was acting on CFAs at this stage, it appears that he and Patron Law were not charging their clients who dabbled in anti-semitism. And the only way Mr Lewis could get paid was if the Jewish person they had bullied either: gave in by settling their claims; or lost at trial. Unless their fascist-curious clients won, Mr Lewis and Patron Law were effectively acting for them for free. This position changed, though, on 9 March 2023 when a further notice of funding form was filed at court which showed that Ms Power’s CFA had been terminated. Although Ms Power’s CFA with Patron Law ended, Mr Miller’s continued. There is a bit to unravel here, and the starting point is that Mr Ben Delo, the billionaire who co-founded BitMEX, a crypto-currency exchange and trading platform applied to register a charge on Ms Power’s house and then around £350k was paid to Patron Law in March 2023 towards Ms Power’s costs in the litigation.
