Given how the vote was being split between all the Democratic candidates, leaving two R's as the frontrunners, it's a relief when any of them drop out. We can't afford to lose this election to a split vote.

So I am reflecting on AI as one does and I have come to realize that “learn to use AI” and “embrace AI” and “develop AI literacy” won’t fucking protect ua from existential and stochastic harms of AI, and my overlooking this as a vector for criticism is really something.

Those shows thrive on drama and conflict, so I can imagine they tend to feature a lot of certain types of personalities

The average person doesn’t give a fuck if AI has some niche use where it actually excels if used properly. In fact, that is what a tool is *supposed* to do and none of us will have a problem if it is used like that. What we see is AI fucking up real life in a massive way.

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

There's this strange idea that the only people who dislike generative AI don't know how it works or how to use it.

We know how to use it. We know how it works. And that's why we hate it.

Yeah... I've emailed them asking for an update, and when I didn't get a response there, I reached out on Facebook, gave them the order number, and then: silence.

That would be nice, but the order status has just been saying "We're preparing these items for shipping" since 3/12 when I placed the order, so it feels unlikely

Mostly for painting for fun, but they can certainly be used for that too, assuming they ever get delivered.

Plus, that would require the ability to read more than 140 characters at a time and at least a little reading comprehension, which most of them lack
