That's when I got the bad news: the client wanted to include the AI "options" (yes, he saw the "branding package", as I said it is visually impressive, but full of bullsh*t). let me be clear, these are bad options that I wouldn't recommend any client to do.

Besides, the downloadable files were not what they were supposed to be (no vector, not really high resolution). Pretty much bullsh*t.
So there I go, make a new logo design, get approved and proceed to make the variations and rules.

It includes downloading all files for the logo it designed!
So why was I involved?
Because the new logo was sh*t even for my boss enthusiasm (he's not a designer but some problems were obvious).

The task was redraw it better, prepare vector files and make some standard rules to keep it consistent.
My boss is a AI enthusiastic, so he asked it to create a "branding package" for the client, even before he asked me to do the job. And it did. And it looks "impressive", mostly.

This week I was asked to "redraw" a logo for a small business, a friend of my boss, a pro bono job. Basically they already had a logo but in "bad shape" (no proper files, messed versions etc).
