Immense. And it is a disgrace the Ku Klux Klan remains so damn relevant after nearly half a century

We were in an Edinburgh pub/club on Saturday. Various local bands played, mostly rock’n’roll or classic rock. One of the bands launched into the Sex Pistols’ Pretty Vacant. It was those in their late sixties who got up to dance. Time lurched sideways.

I have one or two. This one starts well and promises a lot but doesn't really deliver.

I still recall the look of panic on Matt Hancock's face during Covid when a journalist from New Scientist appeared amongst the Lobby correspondents.

Enjoyable evening in Leith talking history. On the one hand, alcohol is contraindicated as an irritant after radiotherapy, on the other, a convivial night full of chat and laughter is therapeutic to the max

BBC writing opposition talking points after a Labour announcement

You only get BBC headlines like this under Labour.

When did they ever say anything like:

"Johnson promises 40 new hospitals, but don't be fooled - there won't be any fucking hospitals"

I tend to assume the same about social media accounts of journalists unless they have proven otherwise.

In the waiting room now. Talking heads on TV are discussing cancer. Ambient electronica from Carbon Based Lifeforms is a definite plus.
