When people talk about generative AI music, the conversation often focuses on creativity and efficiency. But I still feel that practical issues — such as distribution registration, automated identification, exclusivity, and opportunistic reuse — are not being discussed enough.

When I write blog posts, I use generative AI to check in advance whether my wording could cause friction.

I recommend having generative AI read your ZINE once before publishing it.

Recently, I’ve noticed an increase in inquiry emails about “missed” music royalties. I’m simply recording that fact here.

I sometimes receive messages like “I’ll be in Kyoto — would you like to meet?”
I appreciate the kindness.

However, I mostly work alone and rarely attend music-related meetups.

I prefer to share my work quietly through my music and blog.

I use generative AI to help double-check artwork and metadata for releases via CD Baby, BIG UP!, and Elastic Stage.
It has significantly reduced submission time and eased the mental burden of final checks.

「そのうちいいことあるよ」が、いくつかの配信サービスでJ-POP系プレイリストに掲載されているようです。
BIG UP!が後押ししてくれている影響かもしれません。

生成AIは2023年から使っていますが、
全肯定させる設定にもしていませんし、
恋愛や結婚相手のような使い方もしていません。

実務や文章整理の補助として、
出力はあくまで参考意見として扱っています。

AIに自殺を勧められたことは一度もありません。

For the record:
I do not use generative AI as a romantic substitute, nor as a way to fill emotional gaps.
When I feel anxiety or loneliness, I practice breathing techniques instead.

I prefer to release my music independently through distributors such as CD Baby and Big Up! (mainly for Japanese-language works). This self-release approach allows me to maintain a clear and direct relationship with my music, metadata, and rights management.

また、アルゴリズム上も既存曲の派生とみなされることで露出が抑えられ、再生回数が伸びにくいため、あまりおすすめできません。

I sometimes receive requests to remix my songs, but it’s become difficult to approve such projects within the current system.
Also, since algorithms tend to treat remixes as derivatives of existing tracks, their visibility and plays are often limited—so I generally don’t recommend it.

I’ve just released a chillwave track called “193a19” under my alternate name, Xbzoxmqp Uxsdajwo.This alias was generated with a password manager after some interactions on IMSLP.Through that experience, I realized that Creative Commons licenses can also come with unexpected challenges.

私の別名義 Xbzoxmqp Uxsdajwoから “193a19” というチルウェーブ曲をリリースしました。この別名義は、IMSLPでのやりとりをきっかけに、パスワードマネージャーで生成した名前です。その経験を通して、クリエイティブ・コモンズ・ライセンスには思わぬ課題もあると気づきました。

I’m preparing to release a song with Japanese lyrics through Big Up!, but the production will still take some time. I only work on music production during weekends. It takes longer this way, but perhaps that’s the reason I’ve been able to keep creating for so many years.

I released the 193193 EP on vinyl. It arrived last week. Since my music is quiet, I could hear some analog noise, but I think it adds to the atmosphere. Recommended for those who enjoy that kind of listening experience.
